I do NOT understand the danger of losing to Japan.

A match should be played to learn and enjoy. Loss will not be a big deal for either team.

This will be a good match for our Team-e Meli. Fans should pack the stadium and enjoy the game.

Its a friendly, there is no danger.

We always cry for friendlies and now we are scared to lose?

I don't expect anything different on game day either. If we happen to lose to Japan in a friendly this place will 99% be going bonkers over no tactical plan, no good players, bad coaching, terrible fans, etc....

if we are scared of losing to an Asian team , in a friendly , at Azadi stadium ,for the sake of FIFA ranking, then we don't deserve to go to the world cup.

Seems like there's only one guy that's concerned about losing in a friendly so not sure why people are making big conclusions about Iran and Iranians as a whole

No the danger is that Japan will defeat us and the hype of our team being good will die out cause it was all an illusion and carlos played argentina not to score for 90 minutes

Hopefully at least 60K show up in Azadi. Will be a very good test especially for our defenders against high quality players like Honda or Kagawa. Cant believe its a deacade since we last faced them.

I know right? I was getting sick of playing south korea all the time. Japan is a better team, we can gain a lot by playing them.

i am not worried playing japan, specially not as it is just a friendly, the only thing i just wanted to point out, that this match is more important and not only a friendly at all. We should not lose this match, and i want to point out out that probably japan accepted also this offer to win the match and climb in the the fifa ranking, because after THIS Stage you know we will have two group of six, and so we will have two group headers, and we should better make sure to held position 1 or 2 at least by date of the draw.

all people who complain, do not really understand or think about the situation i just wanted to point out. mage man badam miad ba japan har ruz bazi bekonim....

just think not straight, but also open your eyes for left and right and look behind the corner....

I just wanted to point out the importance of this match, and that fans, media, and federation care by having this thread.

I am sure that many will show up but thanks to the A(rab)FC only 30K will be let in, since we are not allowed to use the upper floor.

Does that apply for friendly matches aswell?

What is even more crazy is that we havent faced Australia since that memorable match almost 18 years ago.
They have joined AFC for close to a decade already.

Knowing the A(rab)FC, I almost certain that it does. I hope I am wrong.

It is just a friendly game, we should see this as an opportunity to improve.

Plus I don't expect us to be on our strongest considering we have an important World Cup Qualifier against Oman few days before.

A tie is a realistic outcome against Japan.
