FYI, the best of Asia at the moment is the champion of Asian cup Australia who lost to Jordan so what does that make them? We played a bad football in an away match. And our worst day and with a weaker than potential squad, yet managed to avoid defeat. That's a character that makes Iran the best team in Asia. What do you think?
If Iran has stayed in top 40 (now 39) is mostly because of its great results against stronger teams like Chile (the champion of South America) and not playing many friendlies (that keeps the points unchanged while other teams lose points due to a sudden loss), however this will be changed soon and Iran will soon start a declining curve due to two main elements: weaker results against weaker teams and Other continents' World Cup qualifying campaign starting soon.
But I agree with you. This team need to be motivated and modified immediately as we will have problem in the next round. We need to use all our potentials; some missing due to prolonged injuries, some to strange lineup and formation design!sigpicSUPPORT TEAM MELLIIRAN- IRAN - ONLY IRAN
IRAN OUT OF AFC NOW!
IRAN WILL ROCK IN ASIA AGAIN IF IRI IS OVERTHROWN... MUBARAK, BIN-ALI, NOW IT IS THE TURN FOR SEID ALI

[QUOTE=Afat11;2328570]I don't understand why there were so many errant passes and bad touches. The boys looked lost out there. Then they got scored on, woke up for 10 minutes and played like Iran, then went back to sleep until the end...
hehe my friend you got it, the iranian disease since the porto bluff......

"'One bad day'' happens to all and every team. That's part of the game.
But when you have a run of multiple poor games, then you should get worried.
Oman, India, Guam, Turkmenistan, Iraq, UAE, .... etc. That is a whole run of bad or sub par games. Do make a distinction between quality performance and merely ''winning a game''. The two are two separate issues.
When was the quality performance by TM in an official game?

As for the ''strong defense'' claims
When was the last game we truly showed strong defense against a team capable of attacking us?
I have to go back an entire year and more to the Argentina game (yes, the ''park the bus'' against the world's top 5 team isn't all that shameful ... although against others it is extremely shameful)

Pisssed off with the performance. ... one of our club teams could have performed better than what we saw.
Team had all sorts of problem from fitness to lack of coordiantion, a plan to score. Players looked lost when they go the ball .. Omid kept looking around him to find someone to pass the ball to. Ando was non existing and usual committing too many unnecessry fouls. Arab leagues have destroyed our talented players.
