First of all this was the worst game i've seen under the reign of CQ.

In my opinion Teymourian isn't a real Captain, who can calm- or fire up his teammates. Maybe Hosseini would have been better or even Dejagah. But today Dajagah was worse. Actually i like his temper & character, but that was to much. On the other side his sympathetic nervous system must have been on fire today with this humidity & heat. Taremi has some potential, so i would like to see him against Japan. I don't wanna rate every player, cause everyone played bad today.

But what really was getting on my nerves, were the 20 minutes after Iran conceaded the goal. Hey come on guys, why didn't u played like that all 90min? But hey iranians are psychs. Knowing the fact, that Iran didn't won against Oman like 14 years & losing their last game is to much for any iranian player. They have to win their game in Tehran, just to lose some superstitiousness.

Taremi and Azmoun can become a deadly duo. Navad made a good analysis of that

overreaction and drama on the forums as per usual.

oman plays us very well. they always have. it could be capello, mourinho, or anyone else at the helm and we'd still have trouble with them. it's one of those historical matchups where a much weaker team plays a strong team well - for whatever reason.

Ando and Dej appear to be on a steady decline over the past year. still, dejagah is still by and far our best player. he's our engine. i think he touches the ball more than any TM player. and a bulldog with some gheyrat - i love the aggression.

                      Taremi, Torabi are disappointments.

0 for everyone, literally. It's unbelievable how much Neko is missed in TM, I was someone who always said he needed to retire earlier but compare our midfield to a year ago.. Ashkan was unbelievably poor too, I don't blame Taremi or Ghafouri or anyone who has little experience like them but Ashkan's game was a joke, he did absolutely nothing right. Well done to the Qataris for taking advantage of the Iranian money loving mentality and ruining our football.

When Jalal Hosseini, a 33 year old defender have to come up front and litteraly SAVE OUR ASS from UTTER embarrassment, you be the judge to rate the players. Also, the defence was taking quite a chort when they conceeded a goal.

                              A bad day against Turkmenistan
                              A bad day against Oman
So how many more bad days can we afford?? Only four games left and group is open. When we advance to the next round we cant play at this level.

Bad days and good days fall out of the sky, that's what happens when human beings are on the pitch and not computerized player ratings or articles. There are no perfectly consistent teams in the world. Germany just lost to Ireland 1-0 today, while Australia lost 2-0 to Jordan. If you remove your head sand, you might recal that there have been times in the past, under different managers with different players on the pitch, Iran has lost both these fixtures against Turkmenistan and Oman. This time we tied. It's not perfect but it's not the end of the world.

I hate to break it to you people but there will many more games Iran is underpar and many games where Iran is fantastic. Expect it and hope that when the boys are underpar, they can pull a result like they did today. That's what makes a great team.
