at this point i think CQ just want ando get to his 100 cap, that way Ando can retire from TM with some sort of recognition

Great game, really enjoyed it. The two top teams of Asia playing an open game on much higher level than what is usually seen by AFC teams.

Too bad we conceded that equalizer, which was from offsides position imo. And too bad we wasted so many chances.

Fair result, both teams were going at it in the second half. We played better than the Oman game.

Iran played more organized in the first half.

Japan was more aggressive in the second half. Iran was defending and countering, therefore Iran was less creative.

Several players were tested. Both teams had two more chances to score. A tie is a fair result given that Iran does not have many chances to play friendly games.

We did well overall but Japan was much poorer than I thought. Rezaian is only good for crosses, lacks speed and isn't the best tackler. Ezzatollahi had a great first half, his playing style is actually very similar to Nekounam's, he has a great future. Ashkan was better but he's still a shadow of his old self. Amiri and Torabi were great, Amiri despite his small physique has great stamina! Ehsan was good every time he ran forward but sucked at defending as always, CQ really needs to try other players. Ebrahimi is NOT a good defensive midfielder and I would play Ando and Ezatollahi in that position despite Saeed's young age. Haghighi is lucky to be our number 1, I actually get very nervous watching him play. Overall a much improved perfomance from last week, I would say we deserved to win. Also, Japan, despite all their stars are not actually any better than us as a team. With Jahanbakhsh back, we have 3 speedy wide players in him, Torabi and Amiri. All we need is a proper left back and a proper goalkeeper.

We were the better team, stop throwing Haghighi under the bus, it was a terrible mistake, but he is still one of the best we got. Everyone do bad from time to time, poor guy doesn't get any playing time in his own club. I thought Hajsafi did better than before as LB and I was impressed by Rezaeian.
