Not to be harsh, but I think he should be benched after that mistake. Maybe just for the games in November so he can burn it in his head to not make that mistake again.

He's coached by professional GK trainers in Kazan and of course our own Dan Gaspar. They will help him with his weaknesses. But definitely should sit on the bench next game. Give some playing time to Beiranvand or a different keeper.

      I watched the full game.
The team was very composed and it seemed that we contained japans attacking firepower very well( except for the 1vs1).

Its a shame ghafouri got injured because he was very sharp and was playing well.
      Rezaian has very good crosses.
Azmoun seemed a bit tired but Japanese defenders are also very good.
      Amiri was tearing shit up.
Ezatollahi did very well, hes got big shoes to fill.
Dejagah was putting in work, but needs to pass more.

It's funny because I remember someone also said after the game that Rezaeian was an amateur and couldn't pass

Are you trying to say Davari had any skills? He shouldn't have even been anywhere near TM! Even our third rated IPL goalkeepers were better than him! I have a lot of respect for CQ but selecting him for the WC was among his most stupid mistakes! The guy was even confused about where his arms and legs were! I don't want to talk $h*t about him because he appeared to be a good guy but if you followed him in his club, he even sucked there! Selecting him for the WC was a huge disrespect to our better IPL goalkeepers!

I don't think Haghighi should be benched. If anything he is in dire need of playing time. Also not getting benched would show how much confidence CQ and the coaching team have in him and it should if anything make him play with even more passion. He made a bad mistake, but this is what friendlies are for and it will make him better because of it.

You guys are out heated rivals at the moment, while we hadn't played Japan in over a decade before last Tuesday.

I think games against either team would be great. But I would choose Japan because they play a faster game and one-two touch football. The Japanese can penetrate any team's defense and they definitely tested ours.

Korea has more physical players closer to ours. I feel that we struggle more with teams that play similar to us. Japan is more of a fast pace, and fast passing team. Korea seems to be a hybrid, with both rugged rough-and-tumble players, but also has smaller faster players. Iran won every header against Japan, which makes us play better with more possession. Korea tends to have stronger aerial defenders.

I think Iran matches up well to Japan, but Korea would give us a harder time. Japan is a very dangerous and strong team, and competes well with other technical and fast teams. I feel that Iran and Korea both have the talent to beat Japan though. Korea may lose to Japan based on mental issues though. It seems that Japan to Korea is like Arab teams to Iran. They get into your head, even though Korea should be able to overpower and break apart Japan's style. But yes, I'd rather play friendlies with Korea, as the games are always good and close. They give Iran a big mental boost. I prefer to have Japan in qualification or Asian Cup, as I feel that we match up well against them.

Poor performance by Iran, should have won 3-0 at home. Disappointed to see Ashkan can't even score from a penalty kick. We need Nekounam back!!

It was good to finally play Japan again, but South Korea's probably the best team in Asia right now. It's good competition anytime we play the top 3 (Japan, S. Korea, Australia).

Im not impressed by Jap players at all. Its very apparent that the other reason why the populate top European clubs is for the marketing aspect of it, The Euro clubs want to have presence in the highly lucrative Japanese/Asian market. I believe in our players and their skills, players like Torabi, Alishah, Taremi and even Omid Ebrahimi, should get snapped up by top clubs but they dont, partly because of politics, mostly due to marketing issues, and the fact that in Iran you cannot sell Copyrighted material as it gets copies and sold openly in the market! This is the sad truth....
