So, with the subpar performances of Alireza Haghighi recently, I've heard more people bringing up Daniel Davari recently. People like to say, "hehe, well we know Davari is crap and a statue "
Well, I just have to ask, how short term are some of your memories? The guy was the BEST GK in Bundesliga 2 in 2012-2013. It seems many of you forget why Rahmati chose to LEAVE TM instead of competing with Davari for the GK position in TM. Many of you think it was just some fluke that the guy was ever on CQ's radar.
Please look at these top 5 saves for 3 weeks in the Bundesliga 2013-2014 season. This was just a little over a year ago that Davari was playing weekly in top-flight soccer in a top-3 league in the world! Yes, his team was relegated, but anybody who looked at his team with an objective eye knows he was a major reason for any of their points that season and a highlight. You all like to say "well Haghighi played in Portuguese league last year. Yes, he did. His team was also crap, and I didn't see him being praised by Jurgen Klopp after a monster game against Borussia Dortmund. Davari did very well in 2013-2014, and I'm sick of some of you pretending these performances never happened.
So, why do you all think he "sucks" all of a sudden? He came to TM, had a good game against Thailand, but was untested. He was in a new environment, with players he'd never met, and had a few hiccups. Many of you were here on PFDC HOPING for the guy to fail. Don't sit here and tell me that even half of you gave the guy a fair shake. Same with Beitashour.
So, many of you were giddy with glee when he transferred to Grasshopper. If any of you actually watched him play that season (I watched all the games he was in), he was still solid, but he conceded more than a few goals in 1v1 situations. Whose fault is it when a goalkeeper can't stop 1v1 goals?? The goalie is the last line of defense, and that Grasshoppers team had SHIT defense last year. They continued to suck even after Davari was benched.
He was a scapegoat at Grasshoppers, and his career was harmed by that benching.
Why are many of you dismissing this guy as trash, when even the Bundesliga's official Youtube was frequently highlighting him? Other than "he's a statue" which if any of the retards here on PFDC actually watched him play would see he makes many diving saves with fast reflexes, I hear no rational reasons why he sucks other than some members here wanting it to be true.
Haghighi was a statue against Oman, because of a DEFENSIVE lapse. You guys just want to blame one person. Davari deserves your respect for being the only IRANIAN GK ever to play in the Bundesliga. Many of you can go to hell for disrespecting our player and hoping that his career failed. He is still young for a keeper, and we should be hoping for this guy to get back in the lineup and prove himself in a team like Arminia who can actually defend and don't have Alenemeh and Khanzadeh leaving big holes in front of goal for people to take open shots. Haghighi makes 1 mistake against Oman which is as bad as Davari, and THE WORST mistake I've ever seen by an Iranian GK against Japan with a horrible punch of the ball, and we have idiots here on PFDC saying Haghighi is #2 or #3 in GK ranking and Davari is 7th.
These same Mourinhos are the ones saying __________ is an IPL stud and the best _________ Iran has, and we try these guys and they are trash. How many IPL guys have some members of this board gushed about, who come into the team for 2-5 games and were never seen again? For every 50 players I hear some of you gush about from IPL, about 2-3 have shown themselves to be consistent quality and were able to maintain places in the team. The others were invited to 10 camps and maybe had a couple of appearances and then disappeared. I do not trust your bullshit rankings of players. I hope seeing some of these highlights will remind you why Rahmati fled TM, and why Davari does have inherent quality, despite his bad choice to join that shitty Grasshoppers club last season.
Please, respond with "No, Davari is shit, because he is shit." I'm excited to hear the PFDC scholars talk about the players being statues, etc. despite the fact that this guy was damn good in EUROPE just over one year ago. Oh, and he's 27. Young for a keeper. He is far from done, and many of you writing him off as "he sucks" etc. deserve shitty TM players. Ignoring all of these factors to write somebody off because you have some obvious jealousy is apparent and pathetic.
