    lol .... shojaei, again???
    Hahahaha. This is ridiculous.

What is the point of calling him up? If we ignore the fact that he's been one of the worst performers for the past 3 years and also the fact that he's finding it hard to get first team place in the shjtty gutter league ...
We're facing utter minnows. So the argument for ''tough opponents require experience'' doesn't hold water.
He's also too old to fit into a WORLD CUP team going to Russia.

Something's terribly wrong with CQ's obsession with this chap

Wouldn't we benefit far more if we tried someone age appropriate for Russia's WC? Why are we wasting a spot on a non-performer?

Good list. Could do without Heydari though.

And for the people who are asking where is Mehrdad Mohamadi, he will be with U-23 team.

I'd also drop the injured Azmoun and JB, who ought to find his place in AZ. Instead I'd give Rezaei and Sharifi a chance to prove themselves.

Who says that every single pick needs to be looking towards whether or not that player can play in 4 years time? Nobody is saying tough opponents require experience. Any opponent requires experience. This is not TM vs some high school team. Going into a WCQ has pressure, whether its vs Turkmenistan or Japan (not the same pressure, but there is pressure nonetheless).
Going into a WCQ with minimal experience has even more pressure.
There is nothing wrong with having a few veterans on the team for now. This is not forever.

You are sounding an awful lot like you were before 2014 WC, with all the why player X, why not player Y.

              And Rezaei was invited.

There is no way we can justify the inclusion of Heydari or Shojaie. I get the argument for experience, but we are playing guam for pete sake. Against Japan we used an 18 year old midfielder who did amazing. Experience is overrated, especially up the field, talent, youth, speed is more important.

Instead of Shojaie or Heydari, we could have invited Alipour and use him against Guam.

Khakpor did not invite Ali Alipour for U23 .
He is not good replacement for Shojaei I think.

I doubt CQ will start Shojaei.
Hopefully soon , Heidari, Shojaei, Pourghaz... will be replaced.

Some of Khakpour choices are worse than CQ's. Coach's perspective is different than fan's.

People seem to forget that we have never won against Turkmenistan in our history. They think we will play a semi-pro team and fielding a u19 team will be enough to beat them.

Alipour was just an example. basically I mean deserving younger players.

It seems we've only beaten them once in the ECO Cup:

Thanks for the link man. But I think those wins might be in friendly matches. Because I keep hearing from commentators and reading in websites that Oman and Turkmenistan are the two teams we have never beaten in official matches!
