Wonder if Khakpour can and will consider him for the U-23 - it would be nice to see if he will gel with Iranian counterparts before a TM call-up.
Didn't Majles already pass the law re: citizenship for sons of Iranian mothers? I know it was in the works a few months ago.

1. As you mentioned, to see if he'll fit in at a U-23 level and possibly playing the Olympics.
2. Wait and watch his impact in Allsvenskan and if he succeeds, inviting him to a real TM camp to take closer look.
3. No actions from either part.

I don't know where he's born, but he's definitely Scania based and probably a Malmö kid (like Zlatan) judging by his Swedish accent and his youth teams Limhamn/Bunkeflo and Trelleborg. And he's born '93, and the majority of Iranians here came to Sweden in the late eighties during the war, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's born in Malmö or something like that.

Östersund with both Brwa Nouri and Saman Ghoddos in the starting lineup had a friendly against Hammarby in their respective training camps in Barcelona. Hammarby, who also were interested in Saman during the winter transfer window, got to see what they missed when Saman assisted the first goal scored by Nathan Dyer and then grabbed the second goals himself after a howler by second keeper Tim Markström when the newcomers got the 2-0 win.
It should be noted that Hammarby missed their starting centerbacks and goalkeeper. Here's the highlights:

Östersund played a 3-4-1-2 with him as creator behind the strikers and he seems to be given a lot of faith and freedom to roam offensively so hopefully he can have a breakout year and transfer to a good and stable Dutch/French side over the course of a year. He's still just 22.

Östersund actually played a friendly against Everton in Liverpool behind closed doors and they put up a fight. Everton won with only 2-1 and ÖFK with Saman playing as a forward got in front after corner kick. But then Mirallas curled in a free kick and Gareth Barry put Everton ahead in the second half. Hopefully he made some noise in front of Premier League scouts and/or Farhad Moshiri.

Saman was interview by Fotbollstransfers.com where he praised his coach Graham Potter who has done a tremendous job at Östersund with his attacking style of football. A short summary is that he's very happy with he's choice of club (with him being a instrumental part of the squad) and that he dreams of some day playing in La Liga.
