Right now Syria, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong, UAE are the top 4 runner up teams.

We have to hope that we avoid Qatar at all costs, for obvious reasons. They don't want to embarrass themselves by missing out on another World Cup since they are hosts for the next one, so they will fix their way as much as possible. We don't want to deal with it anymore, it gives us so much headache.

We had enough Qatar during the World Cup 2014 qualifying campaign, we played them 4 times. But this one is tricky because we exactly know where they are up to after that incident with Uzbekistan on the final match day. That was so kasif. I will punch my head into a wall if we get grouped with them again.

Why is everyone sure Iraq will make it they are currently 4th in the best second place teams and they have 2 tough games coming up against Thailand and Vietnam

I thought Asia's playoff was with concacaf

You would be happy? I find that an extremely difficult group. Japanese s obvious. We struggled with Uzbekistan last time. North Korea is not a push over. Qatar will be helped by referees only Syria is easy but we always struggle with arabs

Exactly, anyone should be definitely beatable, we should be able to qualify to Russia under normal circumstances and we probably will. Other teams should be worried of having Iran in their group, not us

We are one of the most, if not the most consistent team in Asia atm and teams like Uzbekistan, Qatar or Saudi Arabia may be dangerous in one tie but we should make it out at least as second in our group to qualify

I'd like to see Australia in our group, simply as that would guarantee that we wouldn't see Ben Williams in the group.
