Group of death, honestly if these will be the pots both groups will be equally drawn, no group of death scenario even possible.

I have a feeling they are going to screw us with the grouping. they are going to do whatever they can to give KSA and Qatar the best chance of advancing to the WC. and precisely because of that, I would rather be in the same group with Qatar and KSA, and of course with CQ as our coach. hopefully we will eliminate both KSA and Qatar from qualification.

Each time Iran qualify from WC, ACL add a new team to make it harder and reduce our chance. We qualify in 2006 from a group of 4 teams with 2 weak teams. => 2010 groups are with 5 teams. 2014 will qualify, they add one to make groups of 6 teams.

Seeing the seedings, they will be no pushovers on both group.

however you cut it it will be a tough group. the only sliver-lining would be if CQ stays. CQ would be the X factor for us. I hope he stays around to see the fruit of his labor with this young group.

Any team getting us will have a very hard time, we are the most difficult away team in Asia especially

If anything the tougher the group the better. Iran almost always plays better against tougher opposition.

I like our chances with the present TM players, CQ and staff. It really doesn't matter who we face as long as we fix our internal problems with IFF and Vazir Varzesh. I have a feeling CQ is just fed up with these A**holes in charge.

Iraq may not even make it, there are less teams in their group and therefor if they don't top the group, which doesn't seem to happen they probably won't make it as second best team!
