Paatoop.com- The coach of Iran’s Olympic Team (U23) has called up 25 players for the camp in Turkey.

Mohammad Khakpour has called up the following players for Iran U23’s training camp in Turkey (December 3-11):

For the Olympic Qualification, would Aria Hashemi, Azmoun, Ezatollahi, and Jahanbakhsh be also included in the final list as they are our Legionnaires?

If i am not wrong, clubs are not in obligation to release players for U23 tournament, so is all depends to clubs!

Ali plays for Sanat, and Ahmad plays for Tractor.
I agree, strange that Barzay wasn't included.
And as for Abedzadeh, I'm guessing that could possibly be credited to his connections. Also, really strange that he can't at least sit on the bench of a club, with his father being who he is and all.

It was pretty much always the case for Abedzadeh, i never saw anything special in this guy.

I don't know why they didn't include Ahmad Abdollahzadeh, he is very decent defender/defensive midfielder, he was even invited by CQ to TM but couldn't make it because of military services.

Shouldn't the young talent, Reza Shekari, have been included in the squad like he was in the past?! Why was he dropped?

Is this the final list?? No ezzatolahi or azmoun. They have no club games so it would be dumb not to call them up. It is Russian 2 month long winter break. No shekari either is disappointing . JB I can understand with his injury issues, plus Dutch winter break is only like 2 or 3 weeks.

Ok I see it is just for the camp. Sardar saeid and shekari should all be called up for the final list . Then we will be perfect.

Correction 4 Legionnaires. Aria Hashemi plays for VV Rood Wit. He has played for the U23 before, and I'm sure he'll be called up to probably act as a replacement/understudy for Akhbari.

so saeid is injured and will be probably not be picked. JB has game with AZ 16jan and then 24jan. With his injury problems seems like AZ will not aloud him to play for Omid. So Azmoun and torabi will have to star this team

he was called up to and joined U19 TM during the vital WAFF Games..! Missing that vital Olympic warm-up tourney, has a lot to do with him loosing his spot in the Olympic final roster..!! but the kid still quiet young and plenty quality for his age..! he will get his chance again next time around ..!! and still might yet get added late ..!?
