For me it is different. UEFA champions league has a worldwide prestige, I can understand that these clubs use every means possible to reach this goal and win this trophy, even if the team is composed of 100% of foreign players. Sure it would have been better if there were national players.

ACL is a mickey mouse trophy. Iran can win the last 100 editions, it wouldn't matter much if we do it with 100% foreign players as our national players wouldn't develop and have the experience to play and beat other asian clubs and play against the UEFA champions league winner in the club world cup

You gotta remember the only thing that makes the arab clubs good is their foreign players it doesn't matter if its Qatar, UAE or Saudi for that matter. without their foreign players they would be best playing in the AFC Cup with the Iraqi Al Shorta ( Al Shorts) or whichever shitty teams play in that competition.
Even with the foreign players, I'd say our teams are stronger, without them we'd crush them big time.

What some people are too stupid to realize, is that no one is saying that our teams play like Real Madrid and Barcelona, while the Arab teams play like Liga Adelante teams.
No, what we're saying is that we're better, not 10 times better.

In this edition out of the possible 15 points, so far we've gained 10 points vs the Arab teams. 1 loss (and that Sepahan too which have been getting pretty dissapointing results in our league too) and these people come out of their sewers and start saying 'we told you so, Iranian clubs suck!'. If you yourselves can't realize how stupid you sound then may god have mercy on your souls.

The main problem that our teams can't manage to win the ACL is inconsistency, just look at Naft, last season they were title contenders, this season they're 6th. The ACL unlike the Uefa CL is played in one calendar year, instead of one season. The same Naft that was so strong last season failed in the next stage because they could not keep up the form they had in the previous season, if I remember correctly at the time that they were knocked out of the tournament, their position in the league was among the bottom teams!

Despite world class training facilities and expensive quality European players, our clubs still beat their Arabic rivals more often than they beat us. Now, after failing to win one game over the last 5 games vs Arab teams, people are saying we're crap and they're better!?

Saudi's teams don't have a significant amount of foreigners compared to domestic players though

We lost to the probably the weakest team in our group while we could have easily got 1 or 3 points out of this match. Igor Stimac jus wasn't a right option for us. His subs made us lose the flow we had in the first half. I would have started with Gordani in this match considering it was an away game. When you take off Khalatbari and Ibricic you kill our offence Mr. Stimac. This Sepahan team is really fucked up mentaly. It would have been better if Ebrahimzadeh became Sepahan's coach, especially if we were gunna get the same results. At least he knows the players well and doesn't need time to get used to our playing styles and players. By the time Stimac starts delivering results, we will relegate.
Those 2 and Karami were our worst players.

I agree that even with their foreign players we are the better teams. the only thing is if our players make one costly mistake it will hurt us and those experienced players do what they are supposed to. If people are gunna whine about IPL and how shitty our teams are after every loss don't bother watching ACL. The games today were the first "asab khord kon" games of the tournament and there are many more to come so get used to it.

Sure they might have not performed to their full potential but the replacements played even worse. Stimac brought in Moharram and then he subbed in Manouchehri for Fazeli. You take moharram out of the game if you bring Manoochehri in because then we would just be looking to cross the ball. Jahan Alian also didn't play well. I thought Ibricic didn't play too bad. IMO, Karami, Ghaedifar and Padovani were our worst players players today. Regarding Khalatbari ,he didn't play too well but he is one of those players i would keep on the pitch because he can be a game changer in a matter of seconds. Our offence is more likely to produce with him in the lineup then when he is not playing. Im not calling for Stimac's head right now because that would just make things even worse, but he should of never been appointed in the first place. Sepahan doesn't need a foreign coach they need Ebrahimzadeh, the only foreign coaches that can probably make an impact on Sepahan are only Krancjar and Branko.

Arab teams have better management. People here think talent is everything. Need to realize that without the proper foundation a club will not be successful. As long as our clubs are in the hands of these Dalals, no success will come our way even It if we had MSN.

We always go in circles after one of our team's loses.

you don't know what a simple Persian idiom means and then go around saying iranians are dumb koskesh?

                      fagaht behet fosh yad dadan?

first learn what that means then come back and tell us what Iranian are and are not.

I guess, now everyone can see why CQ stopped inviting Khalatbarry to TM. He is getting worse by each game!

remember, you get out of it what you put into it.
the question is: what do we really put into our football for us to have a justified expectation for great things??
Lower your expectations and you won't feel as bad after a loss or bad performance.

No perception or thinking that the ball may not result in a goal. It did not.

Yes, when our teams lose, we get upset. I did get upset.

I have no problem when our teams give 110%, but today some players were off and Sepahan's coach made poor substitution(s).
