Quoting my post from last month here. This is the annual traditional pattern of our teams in the ACL. Anyone who has followed the previous years souldn't be surprised with today's results.
Originally posted by _Navid_ View PostHowever having followed the ACL closely for over 10 years now I have noticed our teams always perform great in the first week and two an extent in the second week but perform very poorly in the 3rd and 4th weeks. The general pattern on average has been WDLLDW or something like that. I hope we don't see the pattern again this year and our team continue with solid performances.

As if it can't get any worse
According to ISNA, Sepahan fans have thrown a grenade towards the Sepahan bench.

i knew we would lose as soon as we conceded the first goal. The pitch was just horrible for us in the 2nd half and we coudn't do anything with all the puddles and wind on the pitch. Our only hope was in the first half that we could have done anything in these conditions, but after conceding the first goal I just knew we would lose under these conditions. Uzbeks are more used to playing in this conditions. Unfortunately it rains once a year in Isfahan and mother nature chose the worst time to rain and be windy on this matchday. Overall no excuses, we played poorly in the 2nd half and deserved to lose. If Sepahan can't beat this team in Tashkent then our hopes for going through to the next round is over.

eh hoosele nadaram...halemoon ro gereftan,
Not because that Trakhtor lost the game, but mainly that they played a very primitive football (style gol kochiki).

I watched 5 min of Sepahan game (which is far from enough). I noticed Sepahan like 99.99% of iranian teams play a too much direct football, kicking/passing the ball in front and praying the guy in front will deal with it.
Watching team like Barcelona, PSG or others and you see how it is important to build from behind and be patient : if every teammates are marked in front, pass to teamates you have behind so the players in front can move/the one behind can build the next actions.
The problem is iranian teams don't work team work/collective at all and their stupid pass in front without any thinking, 95% leading to turnovers
