Anyways the professional w/e isn't the discussion, overall quality is the issue and MLS teams don't play bezan ziresh nearly as often as IPL teams. It's become a trend for them to play it short and build toward a goal compared to like 5 years ago but IPL hasn't changed at all (bar PP and maybe Esteghlal because of the real managers they appointed...)

At the end of the day there’s nothing impressive about playing in mls (same goes for Iran) which is why even though some of you make a big deal about mls, Queiroz hasnt deemed it necessary to call beitashour up.

By this logic mls is way better than the Russian league (6th in Europe) since most Russian teams can’t pass for shit and are extremely boring, but obvious it’s not.

According to the Toronto Sun, TFC are in negotiations with Beitashour to extend his contract:
"Defensive linchpin Drew Moor re-signed days after MLS Cup. Toronto FC is negotiating to bring back Eriq Zavaleta, Steven Beitashour and Jason Hernandez. They’ll look to sign a wide attacker and, as Bezbatchenko told Postmedia, the next best available player."

lol Americans like to copy practices/terms from one sport to another when they can and thats what they did here in the 90s with these ridiculous shoot outs. its funny to look at bc it shows you how long we have come as a country......we have a lot more of a ways to go still but its good to see the improvements and steps forward.Team Meli Iran

these shootouts were part of the Early attempts by MLS in order to make the game more exciting, hence more appealing to the average american spectator who found the game to be somewhat boring...! and more importantly in order to decide an ultimate Winner in matches, because the whole concept of a Tie Game (especially a scoreless one) is very much frowned up on in american sports culture, similar to their quest for an Ultimate Champion and how "2nd Place being by enlarge considered the 1st Looser" general concept in american sports culture ...!
TBH, as wack as it looks, it was indeed more exciting to watch than a PK shootout..!! not to say that i'd actually prefer it to the traditional PK shootout... but you know ... whatever..!
even to date: they use pyrotechnics/fireworks and all sorts of other pre-game shenanigans in order to create an exciting game atmosphere and make the overall game experience more exciting and appealing to the adult fan$$ who have never played the game before themselves, hence have a difficult time appreciating the game for what it is naturally and exactly as its played internationally..!!
