The 2nd half was very bad to be honest. We should have kept the same pressure we put on Gostaresh in the first half. The defense was very shaky on some occasions. Our players couldn't hold the ball since in the own half or even clear the ball since there was so much pressure from Gostaresh.

However, very important victory to get closer to the top ranked teams. You sometimes need dirty wins as well.

Man, I'm pleasantly surprised with EsEs Khuzestan this season.

Not only did they take the lead in the table, but they also have the league's top goalscorer (Beyt Saeed just knocked Taremi out of the top spot with his 8th goal) and best goalie (Fernando Jesus) with only 4 goals against in 13 matches and 10 clean sheets!!!

Beyt Saeed was also named Azadegan's best player last season and at only 25, I think he deserves a call-up at least to a TM camp as a CAM (which we are seriously lacking).

Also deserving of a TM call-up IMHO (with Akhbari involved in the Olympics and Beiranvand out of form still) is Mazaheri who's having a hell of a season and is currently the top Iranian keeper in PGL (9 clean sheets, 8 goals against in 14 matches).

I watched Perspolis - Gostaresh highlights, as much good as we played in the first half, we were pure crap on the second half. What was up with all that pure defensive playing style in the 2nd. half? We made Gostaresh look like Barcelona. All those relentless attacks on our goal, and our defense playing so amateurish and nervous inside our box nearly gave me a heart attack thinking we will concede any moment. This mjst have been one of our sloppiest halves throughout the season.

We definitely need to improve our defense and strikers scoring problem at mid season transfer window!
