BEST GOALKEEPER EVER !!! Naser Hejazi vs. Abedzadeh
Not sure what the purpose of this poll is. Simply to select one over the other? Then what?
I would say they were both best in their own ways and for their own eras. You cannot compare. This question is same as asking who is better Pele or Ronaldo?
i would say naser hejazi, purely for one reason, if you get a offer from manchester united, and want you, means your good, remmber at that time asian players never went to europe. also he won 3 asian cups, play in 1976 olympics, just purly for thoese, however saying that after the revolution till now iran does not have another keeper like abedzadeh, but i still believe naser hejazi is better, not alot just a little
There have been several other considerations..and the two mentioned, may not be the vote of every one.
..
1- Aziz Asli
2- Mansoor Rashidi
3- Hafez Tahooni
4- Nasser Saabetpour.
5- Bahram Mavadat.
6- Behrooz Soltani.
7- Mehdi Rahmati.
Hejazi's prime was before my time so I didn't get to see much of him. Up until a year ago I considered him a beast in goal and perhaps a candidate for our best keeper ever. But as of late watching videos of him I noticed that he wasn't dominating especially when coming off of his line. Watching old youtube videos of him I saw many games/goals where I could directly fault him for a goal, in particular for a mistimed exit. No doubt he was a great keeper, the best we had during his time for him to become our starting keeper, but I don't recall Abedzadeh having these types of shaky moments.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.
I wasn't alive to see Hejazi play but I have read that Man Utd offered him a contract but he was not able to go due to the revolution. That's extremely impressive. Abedzadeh was good but not Man Utd lvl!
if abedzadeh would have went to europe he would have been better than naser hejazi, but playing in iran was a issue, however i have to say after abedzadeh we did not have a good goalkeeper, i wish abedzadeh was in our goal now, however i still think naser hejazi is much better than him, i did not watch him, but he must have been very good if manchester united wanted him

That was exactly my thought process until I watched some games of him. Now I'm not sure.

well back then football was different but if you win 3 asian cup, play in 2 olympics, get to the quater in 1976 and play in 1978, that must be very good
