A legend of Iranian football. A player who has accomplished many things in his footballing career. A player who has represented his country in the World Cup and has played the World Cup in 2006 in front of billions of people. A smart and talented footballer of his time. An educated man who keeps wanting to improve, and one who speaks the truth and shares his knowledge.

That man has to send a letter to then MAYBE be allowed to recieve a ticket to the 2014 World Cup, while regular citizens comfortable purchase their tickets. Why? Because of his passport. Hashemian didn't say it but he surely hinted at it.

    It breaks my heart..

Most of our legionnaires owe their European careerto TM, it is pretty much almost everywhere in the world but in case of Vahid, TM owe him, he worked his a$$ off in Bundesliga II and then I to make a name for himself and was one of main reason why we made it to 2006.
I fully agree his goal vs Qatar in 92 minutes was his best goal, we were only few second from a total disaster: elimination in first round of WCQ and that happened only once in our football history(1990 Italy WC).
      Best of Luck to Vahid.

The only reason Varzesh-Mardom program is still surviving is older generation nostalgic with it, otherwise the program was down long time a go.

I think this was the best interview of an Iranian footballer I have ever seen in my life. This man undoubtedly is one of the most well-spoken/outspoken Iranian athletes in the history of our sports. He speaks his mind, with calmness and class, without resorting to making useless remarks and typical Iranian daado bee daad...

Hope we had more of him.

Vahid is very classy. I don't know why we don't have more of his like and less of Mayeli Gohan's.

He obviously has no plans to coach or manage any teams at any level in Iran, if he did he wrote that off.

He is a man of his words, shame there are not others like him.

Nothing more to add, we desperately need more interviews like that. Instead of giving so much speaking time to idiots like MK, focus on gentlemen like Vahid Hashemian to spread some international knowledge & experience for others to learn.

I have never liked Shafiie, he is damn annoying and has no clue what it means to be a moderator.
He asks Hashemian whether the rumors about him assisting Branko are true - instead of letting Hashemian to fully answer this, suddenly in the middle of the discussion he asks him a random question like what was the best goal you ever scored. I mean what the...where is the transition? As if they gave him some questions written down on paper and he just wants to tick them off one by one.

or again he interrupts Hashemian, and despite VH respectfully requesting him to let him finish the talk, Shafie shamefully ignores it and goes on just to say Majid Saleh contacted us and said he is liking the interview. BIG DEAL, oh my god. Is that so important that you couldn’t have waited to say that later on?

Also I think showing random PGL highlights while Hashemian is talking was kind of disrespectful. If anything, at least show some highlights of Hashemian's career, or photos from him coaching in Germany..
