Lmao, people are talking like we've had the perfect preperation. For Iranian standards for the u23 team we've had good preperations.
This isn't the WAFF where we will play some tokhmi teams only..
Only the top 3 teams of this tournament will go to the Olympics, we will have to compete with South Korea, Japan, Australia, Iraq etc..
Even with a better coach than Khakpour, this would be a very hard task to achieve, missing 3 key players such as Jahanbakhsh, Ezzatollahi and Azmoun.
I don't see anyone defending our coaching staff, I also think they're pretty inexperienced to handle this team, not to mention the lunatic Mayeli Kohan.
The way OP is talking makes it seem like this should be a walk in the park for any coach, and qualification to the Olympics should be more than expected.
I feel sorry for Khakpour, the expectations seem to be very high, and as most of us would agree he is not exactly the coach we would want to handle this team, so it seems he has much more to lose than to win.
If we qualify, people will say it was more or less expected, if we lose, we will want him exiled from Iran lol.
It's like Real fans being mad at Benitez, while Benitez shouldn't even have been appointed Real Madrid's head coach to begin with.

As you can see, the Lompan supporters in Iran have already started their Rozeh Khooni regarding how this team hasn't had much preparation.

به گزارش متافوتبال و به نقل از شفقنا، درست بیست و چهار ساعت پس از نمایش تحسین برانگیز احمد نورالهی مقابل استقلال خوزستان بود که کادر فنی تیم امید به صورت شوکه کننده ای اعلام کرد بخاطر مصدومیت، این هافبک جایی در لیست شاگردان خاکپور ندارد. بازیکنی که توانسته بود با آمادگی جسمانی چشم گیر با یک شوت سهمگین از فاصله چهل متری، تیر دروازه استقلال خوزستان را به لرزه در بیاورد و تا آستانه به اسم زدن گل فصل به نام خودش پیش برود، ناگهان به زعم کادر فنی مصدوم از آب در آمد!

اما این سناریو لایه های دیگری را دارد و در اینجا محمد مایلی کهن نقش بسزایی را ایفا کرد. مدیر فنی تیم امید اعتقاد ویژه ای به بازی روزبه چشمی دارد و با کاپیتان کردن او رسما می خواهد همه بار تیم را در میانه میدان به او بسپارد. اما دلیل این علاقه چیست؟ چشمی که سه سال قبل برای پشت سر گذاشتن دوران خدمت سربازی بازیکن تیم مقاومت تهران بود، با انتخاب محمد مایلی کهن به باشگاه صبای قم آمد و زیر نظر او نخستین بازی هایش در لیگ برتر را انجام داد.

به نوعی چشمی یکی از آخرین کشفیات محمد مایلی کهن است که پیشرفت هر په بهتر او موجب می شود بعدها مدیر فنی تیم امید او را به رخ دیگران بکشد و بگوید این من بودم که چشمی را به فوتبال ایران معرفی کردم. اما در آن سو احمد نورالهی حضور دارد. بازیکن کاملا آماده این روزهای پرسپولیس که از قضا او کشف علی دایی بود. بازیکن سابق فولاد یزد، که با اعتماد تحسین برانگیز دایی به پرسپولیس آمد و به همراه مهدی طارمی و امید عالیشاه موفق شدند لقب پدیده های تیم را از آن خود کنند. در صورت حضور نورالهی که از قضا او هم هافبک دفاعی است و از لحاظ سنی 7 ماه از روزبه چشمی بزرگتر، شاید بخشیدن بازوبند به چشمی کمی سخت تر می شد.

مخصوصا این موضوع که به عقیده بسیاری از کارشناسان، نورالهی علاوه بر کارهای تدافعی، نقش موثرتری را نسبت به چشمی در امور هجومی دارد. از این رو عدم حضور احمد نورالهی در اردوی بندرعباس که طبق نظر پزشکان معتمد و همچنین MRI او موجه بود، از منظر کادر فنی تیم امید یک ریاکاری قلمداد شد.

از این رو محمد خاکپور صریحا اعلام کرد چون قرار است در بازی های مقدماتی المپیک ،بازیکنان به صورت فشرده هر سه روز یک بار وارد زمین شوند، ترجیح می دهد از بازیکنانی استفاده کند که کاملا آماده اند. او با این توجیه عجیب نورالهی را خط زد اما روزبه چشمی را با بینی شکسته و از جا در آمده به اردو برد.

قطعا نمی شود رد پای مایلی کهن را در حمایت آنچنانی از کشف خودش در این بین نادیده انگاشت اما خدایی ناکرده در صورت عدم صعود تیم امید به المپیک، کادر فنی باید پاسخگوی خیلی از مسائل باشد اگرچه به نظر می رسد در صورت ناکامی، خاکپور به محل زندگی اصلی اش یعنی خاک آمریکا بر می گردد و مایلی کهن هم ترجیح می دهد با انکار هر نوع حمایت مخفیانه ای، به مرخصی کی روش بپردازد نه این خط خوردن عجیب.

Although I see your point but i have to say that I personally think this time he has gone too far and dug his own grave. He has ruined and ran multiple teams into the ground before. But if this Olympic team fails, considering what this uneducated LOMPAN did to the senior team during the WC and Asian Championships in Australia....
I think if this olympic team fails, it will fall squarely on him with no excuses allowed.
He has made way too many enemies, he has turned the Iranian football fan against him and he has caused the senior NT multiple distractions.

NOW PEOPLE WANT TO see what he is all about.
