Lol now QSL is better than our league? How some of you people draw these conclusions is beyond me, what exactly is your logic for saying that?

Since the 2010 ACL, this is the H-2-H between Iranian and Qatari teams

      - Iran Win: 17
      - Draw: 11
      - Qatar Win: 11

Now despite our rather crap results in the Asian champions league and their multimillion dollar foreign superstars, we still dominate them in it So if ACL isn't your base (the stat which should be our weakest point) what exactly do you people base yourselves on when you innocently think Gutter is better than Iran?

Well.. I hope something good happens with him there.

And by something good I don't just mean playing beside Xavi.. I mean I hope he gets to show himself and get picked up by a European club.

And hellll no the gutter league is not better than our league. Just because they have the best facilities, and a bunch of billionaire superstars, it doesn't mean they have a better league than we do. And just because they stole the WC bid and all eyes are on their asses, still doesn't mean jack shit relating to their league. Hell, they might even lose the bid soon lol.

To determine which league is better you have to consider many things. One being which league produces more talent. Another being the head to heads against each other. The attendance at each stadium for each match of the league. How much money is earned at the end of the year. And etc etc.

Hey, I'm not saying we're better than their league in every single way. But overall, we have a better league. Don't just look at Malavan's muddy football pitch and automatically jump to conclusion that they're better. Look at the bigger picture.

I've watvhed matches from the MLS and I've watched games from the Argentian football league. I watched one league on High definition screening, with the perfect pitch and cleanliness of the stadium walls and controlled fans. I've also seen football fields in Argentina in not the toppest of conditions in low quality broadcasting. Maybe this isn't the best of examples, but hope you get my gist.

Wow, this thread really reached a new low-point! All these "nooshe joonesh" and "QSL is not that bad" comments are really shocking! There is so much wrong, that one doesn’t know where to start:

                QSL

Qatar only consists of dirty arab money. Foreign import$ and a $trong 8-0er lobby in AFC are the sole reasons why their clubs can still compete in the Asian League. I am not blind to not admit they have better facilities or management - I am very well aware of the pathetic facilities & management inside Iran + all the hashiye going on... However what does that do for you when you have the best "equipment", but don’t make use of it?

What I mean is that football without fans is meaningless. Without any tension, pressure and competition none of the players/coaches will truly be motivated enough to reach their limit and improve their skills. It's all about easy money and easy life without any stress...nobody goes to Qatar to face a new challenge lol, please...

I don’t deny playing alongside international starts like Xavi is exciting, but let’s not exaggerate thinking it will greatly affect PAG game or any other player for that matter. Qatar with all their foreign stars and top facilities still is forced to naturalize random players from South America/Africa for their "national" team, because their league doesn’t produce shit. This tells you a lot about the quality...

                Europe Transfer:

Please stop mentioning players from the past generation like Nekounam, Karimi, Shojaei and the rest. Why not take a look at our CURRENT legionaries instead? Ezzatollahi, Jahanbakhsh, Azmoun, Haghighi, Hajsafi... but uhm, i forgot what team they transferred to Europe from... can you help me answer the question?

Anyway, PAG is a defender! - big difference than someone like Karimi that was tearing the league apart with FLASHY goals and skills, hence resulting into several highlight videos. It’s way harder for a defensive player to get so much attention!

                "Nooshe joonesh"

I don’t buy this "nooshe joonesh" nonsense. These footballers get so much money - and I am not hating on them - but let’s not make it look like these poor guys are struggling to survive and have no money to feed their family. Seriously, with that money you don’t need to be a genius to know how to invest properly and save your future. To claim "football" is their only way to earn money is simply wrong as well, they have more opportunities than the majoirty on this forum!

That being said, some of you are acting like as if you go to Europe and don’t succeed your career is finished, this is BS - exactly the opposite! Especially a national team player like PAG will always be able to come back to Iran at least; don’t tell me he wouldn’t get offers from PGL teams at least.

                .....

Ahhh come one, the fact that we are even discussing this is so absurd. So many players declined and history proved so many things, yet we don't want to learn. Still hoping this news is wrong, but the comments here alone are enough to be heavily disappointed!

We should at least change the thread title, as there is nothing confirmed. A final decision will be made in the next days according to the Varzesh3 report Kiarash has posted

فکر می کنم 4،5 روز دیگر تکلیف نهایی ام با السد مشخص می شود و اگر به توافق نهایی برسیم با حضور در قطر با این تیم قرارداد امضا خواهم کرد.

I would say Al-Saad is the best club that PAG would play for in his career. They are still one of the best teams in Asia. If it was any other team like the one Ashkan went to, then I would be upset.

Iran nt- mainly comprised of Ipl players- 2014 World Cup, first place in group C of Asian cup 9 points

Qatar nt-100% comprised of Qsl players (with a significant amount of al sadd players)- not even close to ever making a World Cup, last place in group C of Asian cup 0 points

It's baffling that some people actually think this is a good move, not only for the nooshi joonesh, but because it's a good league.

                      It's apparently official btw http://footballitarin.com/link_page.php?id=273094

Horrible decision. I don't get it, it is baffling to me that Iranian players keep going to all these Arab leagues when Arabs clearly do not like us and don't want to do anything with Iranians. Why go somewhere that they don't like you?

For f's sake just the fact they are trying to take away the name of Persian Gulf from us should make every single Iranian frustrated enough to not even consider going there. But what do I know I guess.

Since the 2010 ACL, this is the H-2-H between Iranian and Qatari teams
                            - Iran Win: 17
                            - Draw: 11

It get worst every year. In last couple years we had hard time winning vs Qatar and UAE teams(beside Saudi of course), 10 years a go our boys used to dominate in their league, not anymore, Majidi used to be top scorer in UAE, football has been changes, smaller countries invest and believe or not in long term pays off, no one argue we have better talent in our country but talent need facilities and environment to be developed and when this is not ready, we won't have any output.

Well, Al Sadd did steal the ACL from Sepahan in 2011, (cough!!), excuse me I meant to say that they won the ACL.
