EDIT: I should have known... The ref who just gave penalty to UAE is from Saudi Arabia.

And yesterday the UAE ref gave a penalty to Saudi Arabia against Japan.

This is so obvious it's not even funny.

I just did a quick check on all the refs in this tournament.

Saudi Arabia got the same Emirati ref twice in the group stages!!

Saudi Arabia - Thailand (ref: Abdulla Hassan, UAE) <---- got penalty from the ref, which they missed!

Saudi Arabia - Japan (ref: Abdulla Hassan, UAE) <---- got another penalty here from the ref.

Saudi Arabia - N Korea (ref: Adham Makhadmeh, Jordan)

Saudi Arabia (who couldn't even advance from the group) had arab refs in all three group matches. Two of them was the same emirati guy.

How is this even possible or allowed?

That's even worse than Iran getting Ben Williams twice in the Asian Cup 2015.

As for United Arab Emirates:

UAE - Australia (ref: Abdulrahman al-jassim, Qatar)

UAE - Vietnam (ref: Fahad al-mirdasi, Saudi Arabia) <---- got a penalty here from the ref.

This is CRAZY. Australia are about to be eliminated from the tournament by a single goal, that they scored on themselves!!!

OMG. Vietnam just scored an unbelievable own goal...
No way, the player tried to header the ball out! He literally headed the ball straight into his own goal.

That own goal looked very suspicious. The Vietnamese header was solely aimed at their own goal, to me it didn't seem as if he tried to header the ball away from the goal, but again I could be wrong!

Wow, what a STUPID play from the Jordan forward.. 3 on 1 with the goalie and instead of laying the ball across to his teammate for an easy tap in, he shoots it wide of the net!
