I am not surprised by loss to Japan. Looks like Iran did not have enough in the tank for extra time. There needs to be a lot more investment in youth development before results are improved. Other countries in the region have been doing that for a while now. Did Iran play any competitive matches before the tournament?Comment

I had a chance to review the match between Perspolis and Saipa that was played before the japan-Omid game.
The reporter during the game said: I do not understand why khakpoor did not invite Noorolaahi. I agree with him. He should have been invited. He and Torabi would have defeated Qatar and then against Chine the reserves could have been used. This is why japan won. Omid and the players as individual are better than any japanese.
KP abd MK screwed up. They should retire from football or go to some high school and coach them.
Once again Japanese team had 6 days off while omid rested only 3 days. and the fact that they were equal for 90 minutes explains it. You don't have to be a brain surgeon.
Please stop saying japan, japan.
if they play against a team that has played only 90 minutes and not 120, then you will see how they can perform after 70 minutes.Comment
