That's what we're afraid of, we don't want to see the real Iran lool. We've already seen how disappointing the real Iran is.

You know what I realized while watching these game? Azmoun's and JB's missing this tournament may have been a blessing in disguise for Torabi. If any clubs are paying attention, I think he really has great moments every game.

        Iranian cyber hooligans
They have now attacked Xavi's Instagram page for supporting Qatar at the Iran-Qatar game

I said it after our game against Syria and I say it again .. this Iranian U23 team is far from being in any shape to lift the top prize of this competition. And the reasons are very obvious; below average coaching staff, lack of quality and depth, and the list goes on and on .. no need to repeat.

BUT, as you know football is always full of possibilities. Better teams don't always win and luck often plays a major role in the outcome of games. Iran has made it to the quarter final, and with little luck can even go further. If we can manage to beat Japan, then we will meet the winner of Iraq and UAE and can pretty much expect a repeat of the 2015 Asian Cup quarterfinal encounter with Iraq.

And that would be an exciting match regardless of everything else that has been going on with our U23 team in this tournament.

Xavi is a legend. I have respect for him for that.

It's not any of my business which team he rooted for. We need to stop being so sensitive.

They probably paid him to support gutter. Even if they didn't pay him, al sadd had paid him to play for them.

Their bid is barely alive for 2022 and they're asking for support from anyone and everyone who can support.

Who cares.. We need to stop being super sensitive.

Just in case I'm bashed for defending Xavi, know that I love my Team Melli to death and I do not trust gutter one bit.

But at the same time it's not any of my business who he cheers for.

Sometimes not saying anything (meaning whining or attacking Xavi's page) is the best option.

One question guys, why Azmoun, Jahanbaksh, Ezatollahi or others are not part of the U23 team?

Ezzatollahi wasn't in U23 plan, they didn't even try to get him anyway, why? That is a big question. Azmoun and JB didn't get the permission to join U23 because the tournament is not included in FIFA days calender.

They were not released by their clubs since this tourney is not official FIFA.

Not only we are missing Ezzi and JB and Sardar, we are also missing Shekari and Chaab. Beside Mothari we have no real forward.

Japan practice for Game vs Iran U23

FW # 9 Suzuki Musashi players (Albirex Niigata)
While the Iran game I watched on television, the defensive line is very high, there was a scene to get out by sending the ball to behind. There I think the kana us a chance. Knockout stage (quarter-finals) is the maximum of climax for them. That I knowす。
