I have feeling Thailand will snatch the top spot in that group.

That's how countries make professionals who are in service of their senior teams for a decade or longer. Back to the drawing board for Iran; the first change has to come from a shift in mentality. Let's find out how successful countries such as Japan and South Korea do it, and take lessons from them... I'd even hire advisors from those countries.

It is very much the norm with youth teams that successful coaches stay with their team as they move up a grade and unsuccessful coaches will at very least have to wait for the lower age group coach to fail so they can take over.Team faghat PERSPOLIS

Khakpour was not the right man for this job and firing him now is the right decision. But, when you fail to reach the olympics for 44 years, it's pretty obvious that the fault doesn't lie with the manager.

IFF once again did not live up to terms promised to him in his contract and it seemed he was set to quit even before the games get underway..!
I think Both parties accepted the fact that prestige associated with head coaching Omid was always gonna be the biggest pay-off for KP doing the gig….!!
Sure, U23 Demise in QF falls short of most all fans expectations but fact is that significant improvements were Also made during KP tenor at helm of U23..!!
i still think KP did an decent enough of job to garner himself a far more lucrative $$ contract from a club in IPL for next season than what he received from IFF for coaching U23…!!
