we dominated possession allright but we are way too damn slow and hesitant on the break..!!
          boring 1st half..!!
on the bright side, Omid has gradually become much more organized and in synch as a team since KP's reign..!!

Torbabi or Milad need to take on their men on the wings and hopefully make something happen in 2nd half..!!

the esmaili kid has played shit so far. i would much rather see pahlevan or kamandani come in.

below average 1st half. khakpour needs some changes.

esmaili was pretty bad, yes pahlavan or saghebi are better option. we need to add more offensive option upfront.

This team definitely looks better under Khakpour than Vingada though.

But also that we don't concede first, which is the other tricky part.

That was a real ugly half....our team looked so out of funk and couldn't dominate a genuine amateur side. From the bald Syrian forward totally forgetting the ball on a run on the right flank and the 3-4 sooti's of the Syrian keeper they showed themselves to be 100% an amateur side that's why they're playing so aggressive, to give them something to work with since they're not good footballers.

Karimi and Esmaeli really need to step it up in the middle they haven't done squat so far and need to do much better. I hope Pahlevan comes in for Heydaryeh and have Milad Mohammadi slide back to LB....we need some rejuvenation there is no flow at all

With all the options he have I have no idea why he went with Esmaili... Guys like Pahlevan, Saghebi, Mohsen Karimi on the bench?

Not bad in the first half.

Syria played dangerously and they should have had a few yellow cards.

Iran pressured and played towards Syria goal. They should continue the pressure. Iran shall win in the second half.

They are both the same thing, no? Us scoring first means us not conceding first.

It is not the same team. Truth is we will never know how the actual Vingada team would have performed. We only know a team that had 7 changed two weeks before Asian games as officials put pressure on Vingada to aim for medal in Asian games as opposed to taking players who would be eligible for Olympic.

Iran is not playing well and it is the common Khakpour/Mayeli headless chicken style.

The biggest sign of a bad coach is them standing next to the line and dictating each decision for players. This tactic never works as players lose ability to make decisions.

Hope things get better in the second half.

not a bad first half. but we need to be quick in the attack.
