Eskilstuna have just been promoted to the Swedish top division as the second top team from the second division in 2016! They are relatively weak in the Swedish allsvenskan! But I guess it's much better than nothing for Haghighi.

The season will start in April so I guess we wont see Haghighi in TM during the coming 2 WCQ games.

In addition to Haghighi, Eskilstuna have recruited Sweden's U21 national team goalkeeper, Tim Erlandsson as a loan! He plays for the championship team, Nottingham Forest. It will be a good competition between the 2 keepers.

Better late than never I guess. Good luck to him, hes one of the few that does not give up in Europe, just wish he hadn't taken that long break..

That's a pretty bad club for Haghighi to be honest, I guess that's what happens when you don't play for so long though.. Hopefully he can use it to get something better next season.

Also, he will be payed sh!t, just proves how much he wants to stay in Europe, good for him.

^sooner or later he needed to eat some humble pie in order to better adjust his seemingly ever-present arrogance and overall too high assessment of himself, so from that perspective, its good that he went this turbulent period in his career ..!

witnessing Sosha getting a start vs syria, after a short spell in supposedly sub-par Norwegian league musta been some signal that if was to resurrect his keeping career even in weaker leagues of EU then he has a good opportunity to reclaim his number1 position in TM back again in time for another WC, hence his attempts to take trials in Greece n Sweden.

as a GK he sure has his skill and mental shortcomings just like any other keeper, but all along I feel his achilles heel has been his over-competitive bordering aggressive attitude on the pitch and in training which is a byproduct of his overall bumptious personality..!!

            PS
he must have a pretty shitt agent/professional advisors too, evident from points made in that interview..!!??
anyways, good luck to him in this new job. it'll be nice to have him back in the mix of GKs TM could rely on going forward..!

I'm hoping this opens the door to future Iranian Swedes who play in that league.

One of the brokers of this transfer is Blash Hosseini, he used to be low tier football player in Sweden (and in AFC) + also played a bit in IPL as a younging. He's now working as an agent and with GSM helmed by Patrik Mörk, whom I made a big post about before: http://www.persianfootball.com/forum...rick+m%C3%B6rk

Nima Modyr also works for GSM, so there's some Iranian phone calls being made there Im guessing.

He hangs out with Ashkan a lot so my guess is No.

Guys his season with his former club recently ended there’s plenty of time for him to figure it out. He might be slow but he is way better at making decisions compared to Ashkan. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks we will see something concrete I think he should look to stay in allsvenskan it was a good level for him (although I think he’s capable of more).

He can still join the following leagues (Some leagues don't take free agents after the winter transfer window)
Austria, Serbia, Croatia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine

Scandinavian leagues wouldn't be too smart, since the league would start in April and he wouldn't play more than 6-7 games. The more games the better.

IMO, Austrian and Swiss League would be the best places until the WC, since they there are still 16 games left.

Isnt there a rule in AUstria for players of outside of europe? I think they can have limited numbers right?
And austrian clubs are very conservative with GK transfers.

Not really, clubs will get bonuses if they field more local players (at least 12 out of 18 squad players)

70% of Salzburg's squad consists of foreign players.
