No, we've made it to 2 world cups in the 21st century.
They'd take that any day over an Asian Cup.

Haha nah you surely can't be serious with that. We've made the WC twice in the 21st century and that alone is more success than them in their entire football history, I take one WC appearance over 3 Asian cup wins. Only countries at the level of Iraq care about the Asian Cup because it's the highest/best tournament they can compete in, no one outside Asia knows or gives about who won the 2015 or 2011 AC, let alone the older ones

Why don't all the players undergo a bone density test which is very accurate at measuring a person's age.

It's either to expensive, or AFC does not care.

Probably the second choice But you guys would be surprised at how many of their players are actually older than their actual age, the only players that are sure to have the right age are the ones that grew up abroad. I mean look at their team they all turned pro at 15 years old and are playing in these youth teams forever plus most of them have a big amount of senior caps, some are 19-23 but already have 40 senior caps, absolutely blatant.

Iraq either just sucks and has nothing better than these "young" players therefore has no choice but to cap them a lot, or they are just plain cheaters which is most likely the case looking at their youth players faces

So you people would rather qualify and lose like always in a WC than win the Asian Cup and compete in the Confederation's Cup? The cognitive faculties of the members here are through the roof.

For the first time I heard MK 's voice and his no-response to cause of failure. The TV reporter on phone pushed him and he failed to say anything meaningful. I learned from this more about MK than I had read here.
              The guy has no clue.
everyone has his own opinion and we really do not need to find 1000 reasons for the failure. It is simple and we should not complicate it. We do not need to say the team was bad and we need to start cloning Daei Mahdavikia and karimi.
A few small mistakes were made and we would have defeated qatar if KP and MK had more intelligence. You cannot expect Kp to be as bright as CQ or Bronko. The man had not even signed his contract. That tells you about his IQ and EQ. He should have been fired when he lost in Tehran to saudi arabia in 2015. Daei was fired for the same reason.
Not including the perspolis player Noorolaahi was a big factor. He and Torabi if had started in the Qatar game would have led to victory of the Omid team and the for China game they could have rested.
we lost to a well rested japanese tea in extended time and with Noorollahi in there and with less tired Torabi the japanese would have defeated.
We were so close so please do not say we are no good.We need new players. we don't. all we need is a leader of IFF and new leader of Sports ministry who can say no to MK and Kashani when they fail.
just watch the video of the head of taekwondo organization who did not send the best athlete for his own reasons. laj baazi hemaaghat, and inability to foresee outcomes of events.

Better than not qualifying for the World Cup and then going to the confederations Cup to play monkey in the middle with Spain.

Almost every team played monkey in the middle with Spain when they were in their prime. Anyways even with all that passing Iraq only lost 1-0.

First of all our facilities, friendlies, and emkanat in general is horrific. However teams like iraq have even less emkanat and are in semis so this is only part of the problem and an excuse that is relevant but kinda wearing thin. The second part is coaching. KP is a good guy. Ill give him that. In our football there are too many moronic assholes. However he isnt qualified for this and it shows. Also I think TM has a mental issue. Far too emotional and not khoonsard enuf. frankly that sums up most of our football. CQ has tried to eliminate this, and that is what has made us much better against better teams. However its obvious that it still is an issue. Were not tactically aware enuf. As usual there are stupid issues like Sardar and Saeid unable to join up. JB i can understand, his league is in session. The other guys, unable to go training camp in qatar, makes no sense whatsoever.

Doesn't matter. Confed Cup + Asia Cup together are still nothing compared to the World Cup. The only tournament better is probably the Champions League.
I don't even know why you're arguing this. The World Cup by all counts is a much more meaningful and important tournament. The South Koreans haven't won it in 56 years, you think they would exchange winning that tournament for all their world cup appearances?

Why is it that every time someone says something negative about iraq, whether its about ben williams, overage players, or their national team not being good, you always come to the rescue and try to defend them? Its a bit weird for an Iran fan to care so much about what people here say about iraq.

You should know by now there are some hopeless Iraqis among us. they are easy to guess. They truly have inferiority complex!

Yes as long as our World Cup games doesn't include 3 embarrassing losses and one of our players spitting at the ref.
                            Also you are incorset.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Because the only reason we're hating them is due to that Ben Williams incident which was mostly our fault and if it was the other way around I have no shadow of a doubt everybody would be saying: "Oh well it's the Iraq player's fault for diving in the first place, fair play to the ref great call". Anyways I don't care about Iraq, they're garbage at football anyways.

People are giving the cheating aroghis too much credit. After them constantly fielding overage players in youth tournaments and Shaker the Ghater spitting at a ref during their lone World Cup appearance (30 years ago!!!!! ) which ended in 3 straight losses they have truly proven to be an embarrassment to Asia and soccer in general.
