    Neil Yadolahi @ Vancouver Whitecaps F.C. | 2016

Iranian - Irish center back Neil Yadolahi (22) has signed a pre-contract with MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.

He was close to transferring to Zob Ahan but the transfer fell apart because of his sarbazi.

Potential TM call up in the future, so this thread is dedicated to follow his progress. He has played for Burnley U18 and some Irish teams.

Hm would be an unreal move for him at this point in his career. He is very young and hasn't played professionally, this would be a great team to develop in. I am sure form here he could transfer to a bigger European team later on, and hopefully at some point the Iranian national team

Best of luck to him but he isn't going to be good enough for TM.

I just saw this thing on Twitter that says Neil Yadolahi has joined the Iraqi national team. Wasn't he Irish Iranian?!?! What happened to this guy? What club does he even play for? How is he eligible to play for Iraq?

I thought Neil Yadolahi was Irish-Iranian as well based on his transfer market profile, but his facebook profile is him with Iraq related photos and Arabic writing... Very confused

I have read somewhere in an article from years back stating that Neil wants to play for Iran since he has Iranian roots. Now he wants to play for that fake country Iraq, Neil is a traitor in it's purest form. It blows my mind that we have Iranians who want to represent Iraq. I wish him the worst luck in his career, he wouldnt be good enough for TM any way. I'm fine with handling leftovers like this fool to Iraq.

“I’ve also gotten to know Neil’s father who is Persian and clearly the option is there for Neil to play for the Iranian national team if the opportunity arises”. Born to an Iranian Father and Irish Mother, there are a couple scenarios where Neil could get a call up by either national team however, in the upcoming months PSM will be focusing on bringing Neil to the U.S with an immediate concentration on him signing with a club in the MLS.

He is a traitor. He would have no chance with Iran. I doubt he is Iranian. He doesn't even look it. Maybe case of Western journalists mistaking Iran and Iraq. It happens lol

Wait a minute, how can he even play for Iraq to begin with?

He was invited to Burkina Faso national team I read it in some twitter account which does not exist anymore. Some Iraqi kids are pulling your legs and you fall for it so easy. Let's not make a big fuss over nothing.

He posted pics on his own Facebook too. He has pics with Iraq's national team and posts in Arabic.

It couldn't have been an accident of Iran or Iraq because he specifically didn't go to Zob Ahan because he was scared of having to do mandatory military service in Iran
