It didn't work in the NASL, it didn't work in Saudi, UAE, or anywhere else that brings in B level players for tons of money.
I think we can all agree the difference is made in youth development. If you spend that money on talented young players you will get a much better return.

we should change Iran to Ifran. Whenever a country starts doing something we are the first to pop up with: If we would have bla bla bla.

Don't mean to offend you persian_cheetah. Just sayin -.-
Just compare Iran almost from 40 years ago and now,Then you'll realize what I mean. No worries, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I dont take any comments here seriously since we are discussing and everyone has different thoughts and ideas.

Wont be surprised if they bid to play in European Champions League.

I fully get your drift. Still i think we use this as an excuse way too fast. If this if that.....fuck it. Just fucking do it and you will have success. It's not like we had better opportunites in the era of Daei, Bagheri and Azizi.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.
