Daei has accomplished way more than Landon Donovan, so if Donovan can get an 86 rated card, I don't know why Daei can't get that or even higher, seeing as he's accomplished more both national team wise and club wise. But I guess I may have rated Daei, Karimi, and Hejazi a bit too high.
Just because legend cards pander to their audience doesn't mean a mock-legend team should do the same tbh. I've always found that aspect of the FIFA ratings embarrassing.

Donovan is a low 80 player at best, I agree, though he's done a lot for his country's football and has played - with varying success (like many of our own players) - throughout Europe and been a part of several World Cups, even making it to the last 16 on a few occasions.

Daei was a genuinely good goalscorer, he proved that in Germany, but his claim to fame is against some of the lowest minnows in football. That doesn't make him a 90-rated player dude. You have to have some perspective

Yeah I guess I see what you mean, but I still think Daei has accomplished more than Donovan. Although they both played in the Bundesliga, Donovan never scored there in all his years, which is pretty embarrassing for a forward. Even Karimi has scored a bunch of goals in the Bundesliga and he's a midfielder. Most of Donovan's goals come from the MLS, whose quality can be comparable to Asian national teams. Look at Beitashour for example, he is considered as one of the best RBs in the MLS currently, yet he can't even be a starter for a top Asian team like Iran. Not saying Donovan wasn't a good player, but in my opinion, he was way overrated, and Daei is way underrated and even sometimes unknown outside of Iran.

This is an awesome list. It pretty much has most of the names I wanted to suggest. I guess from the 1960s, Hamid Shirzadegan should be there as well since he was known as "Pa-Talaei ie. Golden Foot".

Late 1970s to early 1990s, there were so many talented footballers who every one of them were stars. So I would say it would be up to people's choice who to be in. For me for instance I would add Farshad Piyous, Hamid Derakhshan, Sirous Ghayeghran. Back then Reza Ahadi, Hamid Alidoosti played in Bundesliga 2. Bijan Taheri was the best footballer in Bangladesh which at that time had a strong football league. Mojtaba Moharrami, Mohammad Panjali, Behtash Fariba, Nasser Mohammadkhani, Ghalenoei, Namjoo-Motlagh, Arabshahi were all very talented players.

By the way, I don't know much about this guy, but I heard we had a player named Abdolreza Barzegari, who was nicknamed the "Black Pearl of Persia" . But when I looked at his record, he had only played for team melli for 2ysrs.

I know he's not popular now, but Rahman Rezaie is our most successful defender internationally.

He played 5 years in Serie A
