He is! Both of them are quite similar in style. It's just that Mehrdad seems to have lost form a bit since the beginning if this season. I don't know why Mehrdad didn't get any European offers! He would have been an asset in TM!

They are basically the same players, maybe Mehrdad has slightly better finishing since he plays more offensive roles.

Milad happens to just play in a position which we lack depth in, with either players not good enough for international level or others who are still too young (Aghaei for ex), Mehrdad has lots of competition in the positions he plays in (LW, ST).

His old Rah Ahan teammate Strandvall mentionned in an interview that he badly wants to go to Europe as well

Mehrdad really does deserve to go to Europe!! Have seen a few clips of him play and its so far really impressive.


This just proves that Iranian's don't lack the talent, but the proper infrastructure and awareness to further succeed.
