Fifa Ranking- February 2016

Whenever I see the April Fifa ranking or final seeding I can say which teams I prefer to see in our group. For now I am just sure that first, I do not want to see more than one Arab GCC country (Ksa, Uae, and Qatar) in our group, second I prefer to not see Japan in our group. I think we need luck in this final round draw more than previous times.

They always use the last FIFA ranking before draw. The April ranking will be used for draw of final round most likely. The results of March matches especially the result of Uae vs. Ksa match can have significant effect on April ranking.

How did Saudi Arabia climb 20 places between January & February when there are no qualifying matches? Has anyone ever looked closely at the formula used to produce these rankings?

Ok I was fooled then. But still, this will be the March rankings according to the FIFA World Ranking calculator. We might see some changes in the April rankings.

The results of March matches are very important for April ranking especially the result of Uae vs. Saudi Arabia match.

Saudi Arabia is no way the 3rd best Asian team, no wonder people don't trust these rankings.....

there is also a chance that jordan finish above australia, if they win their last match in australia (like a final match), but australia probably even qualify as second team.

some important matches/things, which should happen:

Iran win both games please.
Jordan vs. Australia
Saudi vs. UAE
Qatar - Hongkong
China - Qatar (for China; if Qatar is clever, they will let Hongkong win their match, because Qatar anyway qualified for next stage as group winner)
Japan - Syria
Iraq - Thailand and also Iraq - Vietnam, as Iraw need two victory as group winner. Thailand just need a draw..


but saudis seems also to qualify as second team, if they lose vs. use, because of collecting enough points..
