But guys I thought that the worst move for Iranian players is to move to Qatar? I thought that the level of competition is so low that our players will forget how lace up their cleats. But somehow our super talented players can't beat these teams on our own soil. As of now I am all for our players moving to Qatar. It is clearly a better league in all senses. Not only do they get paid in FULL but the level of competition is higher. Good for all those players we have in Qatar. Inshallah all our stars end up in Qatar.

Another game we lost to lack of proper tactics and strategy!

Alireza Mansourian may be one of the better Iranian coaches these days, but still far from having international experience.

Naft played an offensive game today but did not push enough players forward to find the net .. I wondered what exactly is their strategy for scoring..... When it defended, it did not have the discipline nor the skill set and that caused them to concede two amateurish goals!

It is really too bad to see our teams losing game after game due to lack of proper strategy.

Same thing happened to our U23 team. We need to learn from these lessons sooner than later!

Sheikh Mohammed of Dubai has a nice quote" not every horse rider is a jockey!" Now apply this to our coaches! Not every person who has played football can be a good coach !! We need to have a proper system where rookies like mansourian get fed into and they come out "cooked" and ready !

Naft does not have enough fans is Tehran. It should have moved. 2500 fans with free admission. That is basically the relatives of the players and team staff. You cannot stay in Tehran just for 2500 fans.
Mansoorian has his limits. He can easily fail against professional coaches. He tried to go to SS and when he said he was talking about it and his players also jumped off the boat then he decided to stay . That had negative effect on the previous Naft team
To let PAG go to Chinese team was a dumb idea. with PAG and Rezaai Naft would have defeated aljeish
This game was actually close and naft players missed several opportunities.
Beiranvand proved that he belongs to PP. His long throws would be perfect for Alishah and Taremi to run with.
It is injustice to ruin teams that qualify to AFC and then are robbed of good players. All Persian Gulf League teams should agree to be good citizens and not to offer, accept any player or even discuss opportunities with a player from a club that will have to compete in AFC.
With Beiranvand Amiri and Hosseini if added to PP you will see PP as Champion of Asia.

Totally agree with your concept we have way too much transfer movements for the teams that compete in ACL and it hurts them really badly, especially considering that they don't sign the same level of foreign players as Qatari/uae/saudi teams.

One other issue that surprisingly no one brought up is the number of QSL teams foreign players: If you noticed, most QSL teams in the ACL field much more than 4 foreign players in their starting 11. The rule in Asia is 3+1, so 3 foreigners + 1 Asian foreign players, however as you may or may not know these Qatari scums give Qatari citizenship after 2-3 years of "working/playing" in Qatar, which makes most of their foreign players dual-nationals and "Qatari". For that reason they can play 4 fresh foreign players, along with as many foreign players as they want that have played few years in Qatar.

In their match vs Al Jaish, they used 5 foreign players on the pitch in the 1st half, and they were 6 in total out of 11 players to be foreigners in the 2nd half:

- N'Diaye (Senegal), Lucas Mendes (Brazil), Mathani (Tunisia), Romarinho (Brazil), Hamdallah (Morocco), Wagner Ribeiro (Brazil)

Using the ACL results is a terrible metric to judge the level of the Asian leagues.

There are two types of leagues.

1) Chinese type
It has 1~3 strong clubs at continental level but the rest of the league are too weak. The Chinese teams have been poor in ACL with the exception of Guangzhou Evergrande. The same goes for the Arabs and to a lesser extent the South Korean league.

2) Iranian type
It has no consistent powerhouses. They have new powerhouses almost every year. Thus the gap between lower and top teams is small compared to the Chinese type. A-League and J-League belong to this category too. Gamba Osaka, who became a finalist in the East region last year was a second division club in Japan until 2013.
