If Oman beats Iran and also beats Guam such that their goal difference is better than us, then Oman will go through.

we don't need him. We have ebrahimi and ezatolahi who are far better at this moment in time. Ando is slow and hinders our progression in play. He is a great guy, but he isn't the same ando of 3-4 years ago

maybe it sounds similar but back then neku was in la liga starting against some of the greatest in the world. He was always scoring. Ando Is just not competitive like he once was. At this point, we have better CMs anyways, I think cheshmi, ezatolahi, ebrahimi, karimi are better options going forward.

I only rate Ebrahimi higher than Ando among our options even tho he is quickly declining (hopefully the fact that he returned to Iran brings his form back), but we still need his experience whether it's on the pitch or on the bench especially in the last round of WCQ, his work rate could be also important in defensive games.

However right now I wouldn't start him because the Ebrahimi-Ezzatollahi duo has been working great the last games, they complement each other really well

The issue with Ebrahimi is he was introduced pretty late to TM and even then he was for years in shadow of such Nekounam and Ando, the guy is pretty decent but he is 28, will be 30 for next WC, the guy could play in Europe if he had more caps for TM and was younger.

The best Oman can hope for is for Iran to only defeat India by 1 goal. Then they have to defeat Guam by 12 and then defeat Iran in Tehran to make it. Not even the most optimistic Omani can see that happening
