Bakhtiar Rahmani will finish his military service at the end of this season. Do you think is he a reliable center midfielder for TM?

I've always thought he's too slow and a bit overrated. JMO.

He's a great CAM on his day, probably the most safe option for that position at the moment, not surprising that he caught CQ's attention and made it to the final Brazil squad. Rafiei has always been more of a winger than CAM. Bakhtiar has stronger specific qualities for that position, he has excellent passing and vision, strong technically as well, he's just a true playmaker. His positioning is really good which can help him score couple of goals too and he is also solid physically (fairly strong for an offensive midfielder and good stamina)

I think Pouraliganji is just fine as a CB too! He does a fabulous job there! Specially with Ezzatollahi and Omid Ebrahimi, we'll be fine in DM without him. But I do agree with you that we need to look for more options.

Our new inclusions in the next WC should preferably be 22 and under so they have a chance of getting attracted by European clubs and actually develop there. So preferably we should go after our U19 TM players whom will be just in the right age for the WC!

Hossein Fazeli should be looked at too. He has great potential, maybe he is not fully ready yet, but i expect him to get a call up soon.

Hope for a high % of success, lot of these guys will surely get their chances in the next 2 games
Great list, you just took words from my mouth in 90% of cases, i include Shoja Khalilzadeh as well but i guess military service and issue with CQ will keep him out of possible list.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Jaber Ansari.

Despite his age (he's not even old but some may argue), he's a talented midfielder with good vision. Not to mention he's a technical player who's not afraid to pull through in desperate situations. I've watched Esteghlal's matches this season, and time after time this guy delivers under pressure and in front of a big crowd. In my opinion he deserves to be called up.

Unless he's part of the Anti-Carlos clan...

Carlos only takes tall, fast and physically strong players. Remember Khalatbari was tossed out by CQ.

Trust me I would have included Shoja before anyone else for CBs but we can't use him until the end of this season's league. We don't even need him before that, and in those last two matches it would be nice to test out guys like Hadi Mohammadi, Nejad Mehdi and co who are younger and have potential. Shoja is already an established player, and we could use him in the last WCQ round if our older CBs like Seyed Jalal or Montazeri really start declining.

I think you mean Aramtabe lol. He is a pretty decent LB you are right but IMO just not national team material. He's old, fairly weak physically and is just worse than the likes of Meysam Majidi or Mehrdad Ghanbari. Ghanbari is injured right now but I think CQ has him considered in his future lists considering he had few call-ups in the past, until then I can only see guys like Meysam Majidi or perhaps a younger dude like Mohammad Ansari of Persepolis to be called up along with Milad Mohammadi and HS.

That's a pretty accurate description of Jaber Ansari the only issue is his age and the fact that he's weak physically as PL said CQ doesn't likes these kind of players otherwise KB would have been already picked since he is just a better version of Jaber. As CAM as I mentioned Bakhtiar Rahmani is a nice balanced player solid in pretty much every area, he's got excellent passing and vision, CQ already knows and likes him. I would guess he will be back in the squad once his sarbazi is over in few months if I'm not mistaking
