Everton is one strange team. One second they are spanking top teams and the next they are getting spanked by crappy teams.

Moshiri has really made his statement this summer, so much quality added to Everton. This man is serious about making Everton a better team

Everton are gunning for top 4 this season, a lot of pundits are tipping them to break through.

They have shown some interest in Sardar before, hopefully after WC18 they sign him from Rubin with Moshiri's pushing , in the same way that Chelsea signed Smertin, Zhirkov

I think the Rooney purchase was part of the Lukaku deal. Man U wanted to get rid oh his salary and Everton wont be paying him as much. Rooney will be taking a good pay cut, but he needs to play if he wants to get to his last world cup.

The reason why Ardavan Farhad Moshiri didn't show any interest in Iranian football or using his influence to hire an Iranian talent in Everton might be this.

                http://www.bbc.com/persian/world-41864424

In reality he is not a billionaire but a former accountant and apparently current tool of Uzbek-Russian billionaire and partial owner of Arsenal, Alisher Usmanov. According to BBC, nobody who has more than 10% share of an English club can own even 1% of another club because of collaboration and disparity reasons. Apparently, Mr. Usmanov gave a huge amount to Mr. Moshiri as a gift which he invested in Everton. The lawyers of both parties denied any wrong doing but they are under investigations.

English explanation. This is a going to be a big issue if this ends up being true.

First of all just bc he was an accountant doesn't mean he cant be a billionaire. He worked for Deloitte and if he was a partner then he most likely made anywhere from 750K to 3 million a year as salary. Looks like at some point he went to the private sector and he can even make more money there. ( I know this bc I work for a public accounting firms and they just throw money at you as long as you can use your network to generate new revenue) In the accounting/Tax world when someones gives you money as a gift you pay your income taxes on it and after that the money is yours and you cant do whatever you want with it. So the Farsi version claiming the money was a gift so is not Moshiri's money is incorrect.

Farhad Moshiri increases stake in Everton to become club's majority shareholder

Everton announced that the Iranian billionaire has increased his 49.9% to 68.6%, with plans to further increase his share to 77.2% before July 2019

Farhad Moshiri has increased his shareholding of Everton Football Club to become the majority shareholder.

Everton announced that the Iranian billionaire has increased his 49.9% to 68.6%, with plans to further increase his share to 77.2% before July 2019.

Moshiri first invested in the club in February 2016, having sold his investment in Arsenal to his business partner Alisher Usmanov, complete with an agreement that he would increase his share over time.

Moshiri will now assume even greater control, which will reassure supporters of his long-term commitment as the club considers an ambitious project to build a new ground at Liverpool docks.

In a club statement, Everton confirmed: “Everton Football Club today announces that major shareholder Farhad Moshiri has further committed to and increased his shareholding in the Club.

What an Iranian he is, not willing to even sign or try to sign Azmoun or Taremi or Jahanbakhsh after his good spell at AZ back in 2018.

It’s ok Azmoun and Taremi gonna play UCL while his club stays middle table. Porto >>> Everton in almost every facet aside from the league they play in

F**** Everton. I'd MUCHHHHH rather our players play for Zenit and Porto. Azmoun should only move to a top 5 club in a top 5 league.. AS A STARTER.
