His only advantage compared to Rezaeian was his defense and that was when he was in good form in AC before his injury. Sepahan has had a weak defense in the last months and a good number of the goals conceded were from his side. Rezaeian is much better with attacking, crossing and even scoring, not even talking about his amazing free-kicks!!

Didn't Jurgen Klinsmann even praise him at one point?
Anyways, here is where I saw the comments: http://www.futhead.com/16/players/7979/daniel-davari/
I am not surprised to see this sort of comment on Futhead. I thought it was a legitimate fan site. Any rational person knows that Davari was one of the only saving graces on that terrible Braunschweig team. Their defense was soorakh. I just think it's funny that some people here are so willing to accept "fans" opinions on Davari, but when the dumb fans at Charlton or whatever other team places unnecessary blame on our players, then they are xenophobes and racist to our PFDC experts. Braunschweig fans on Futhead saying Davari was their problem when their entire team was full of German scrubs, "speak the truth, brother!" When dumb fans on Twitter or a fan forum blame one of our other players for their team's poor performance, "what dumb fans! They're just racist against Iranians!! Their team is soorakh, our player is their only saving grace!"

^go ahead and keep laughing at my accusations of poor and unequal treatment of Davari and previously Beitashour on this forum, but anyone with half a brain can see what I just described above is certain PFDC "contributors" to a T.

Ok, Mirzazaad is 19 years old Malavan keeper who was just invited as well. Probably anyone(St-Mark) knows more about him.

noorolahi is physically average, his vision is relatively poor, and his dribbling isnt very high in calibre. I rate Ahmadzadeh higher and i think he is not even TM material atm. Im glad to see shojaeian, but displeased to see shojaei. Im curious as to who will get the nod against india and oman between Rezaian and Ghafouri. Currently id rate Ramin a bit higher, but that because vouria has had to deal with a relatively weak sepahan this year, and has not been able to make as much for himself then last season.
          This is how id play
          -----------------Haghighi----------------------
          --Rezaian----Montazeri----PAG-----Mohammadi--
          --------------Ezatolahi-----Hajsafi----------------
          ---Jahanbaksh------------------------Torabi---------
          --------------------Taremi--------------------
          --------------------------------Azmoun---------------

I wish we would line up something like this vs. India:
            GK: M.R. Mazaheri
            RB: Ghafouri
            CB: Hosseini
            CB: Pouraligangi
            LB: M.Ansari
            DM:Ezzatollahi
            DM:Ebrahimi
            RM:Jahanbakhsh
            CAM:Torabi
            LM:Hajsafi
            ST: Azmoun/Taremi

doesn't look like we have a true attacking central midfielder on this squad.
this will be a problem in the next round.

Bakhtiar Rahmani and Soroush Rafiei will be ok to play by then.
                CQ rated Rafiei very highly.

19 players will show up on Monday, legionnaires and ACL representatives (Zob Ahan, Tractor, Sepahan) will be considered on the final 23 men squad on March 19th (next week)
dont know much or any about the bolded players ..??
any more insight into their abilities from the PGL followers..? at least those likely to make the next round of cuts..!
like NFL said, AM remains the biggest Void and question mark?? at least until the Sarbaz duo return and who knows in what form..? as far as im concerned that position is gonna be up for grab for anyone, even after sourosh and bakhtiar return..!
none of the make-shift AM tried by CQ has worked so far..! CQ badly needs a physically strong, yet technically savvy player with a good vision and non-stop motor for that position to be locked in..!! someone like cross between Ghasem Hadadifar and mighty AK8 would be immense reinforcement..!!
from this lot, i would probably take the next gamble with Taremi as the make-shift AM..!!
CQ is very Methodical and Slow in replacing key starters, so doubt any newly called up, Unknown(at least to me) AMs in this list will see any playing minutes vs india and oman. Unless they hit the ground running in training, fully comprehend, and commit 100% to CQ's tactics, and take their little chance with both hands and run with it..!! sorta like Amiri and Torabi did earlier..!!
                  Ps
Carlos Loathes even a hint of an Apathy or anything suggesting of Lack of 100% personal commitment from his players and Pride towards wearing the TM shirt from his called up players..!
im fairly certain that Danny boy being MIA has much to do with him missing the last TM Training Camp in portugal, that he was invited for and missed due to his son being born a week earlier..!! much earlier than that he missed another TM training camp in Dubai ? i think? because he preferred to stay at his Club Bunswich and help them promote to Bundes Liga..!
besides all that, in his few (couple?) features in TM, he didn't come across all too convincing performance wise either..!! i remember him conceding a kiri goal to was it Thailand..? in AC15 qualifier and although he had very sound positioning and composure, his reflexes was nothing more than average and he relied way too heavily on Kicksaves that often spilled back in our penalty area, causing undue stress and worry for our very solid back4...!! after that a slew of decent quality, Young keepers from PGL advanced their presence slowly in TM, rendering Danny boy, nothing much but an overall average quality has been, with questionable commitment, struggling mightily at club levels...!!
personally speaking, i do like the kid, regardless of his shortcomings as keeper, i think he is a level headed and classy individual, and i sure do hope to see him given another opportunity if TM get desperate enough for choices in Keeper position coming up...?? which seems sorta unlikely atm..!!
somewhat Similar circumstances also contributing to lengthy absence of Beita from TM call ups..!!
just that he was/still is by quiet a few here, way Over-rated in his football in general abilities, especially so as a National Team quality Wing back..!! and personally found him to be too arrogant personality wise for my taste..!! he also has a small, outside chance of making future call ups, but for that to happen, we must become much more desperate for his positional needs in TM..!

Mazaheri is a good second GK for NT.
                    Ansari is a decent LB
                    Pourgaz is good CB
Kanaani is a great and young CB
                    Nourollahi is a decent MF.
Kamyabi Nia is a decent MF
Ahmadzadeh is not TM material. He is somewhat technically gifted but very bad finisher, reminds me of Rasoul Khatibi.
Shahbazzadeh is a decent forward but very proud. He pass the ball very rarely to his teammates and his finishing touches need a lot of work. We have better players in our NT now.
Mohsen Karimi is good but inconsistence MF.

Seems like CQ has a fetish for QSL based players (too much of them). I can't believe Pouraliganji made the list instead of Kanaani...

maybe it has something to do with his injury but it's weird because according to portuguese medias , he was allowed to leave his club to join TM camp

Very close to what I predicted! Shojaeian made the squad.

But pretty crazy that a promising young defender like Kanaani is dropped for an older Pourghaz in such a stage of the competition where we can experiment the most...

Perhaps he's still injured similar to Teymourian?

Overall, a very good (and expected) list. Shojaeian is the newcomer who will have to prove his worth in the upcoming two games.

Also, to the members here, please save us 10 pages and don't complain about Masoud Shojaei's inclusion. It was an expected invitation.
