World Cup Qualifying 2nd Round MD 8: Iran - Oman @ Azadi stadium (29/03/2016)
Boom..!
imo also, ATM, This is just about our Strongest Line-up..!
but with progress to next round as group leaders pretty much guaranteed, it remains to be seen if Carlos would instead opt for a more experimental line-up..!!? also, as much as i think we should, i doubt CQ would drop HajSafi from his starting lineup.
ps
whatever happened to our carrot-top ?? that red-headed RB..? forgot his name..!! i'd slightly prefer him over Rezaeian.
Edit: Just realized you mean in Azadi. I meant Iran hasn't lost by that many goals by anyone ever actually. Not even footballing giants such as Germany or Argentina. Apparently our biggest defeat was a 6-1 loss to Turkey.
I hope Argentina comes and plays in Azadi in the future. But I doubt it under the islamic republic due to political tensions.
Well, we have had a few losses where we conceded 4 goals. Austria beat us in a friendly 5-1 back in the days of Daie and Azizi. And then way back in time, when our country of civilized we played a friendly with Brazil in Tehran and lost by some sizable number of goals. Remind you it was our B team, as the A team was involved in Asian games at the time.
