There's no point in focusing on something we have no control over. Let's worry about fixing the seats at azadi so we can get 100k to support us

In an interview, Peyrovani asked Azadi officials to put seats on the 2nd floor, so fans can sit there as well.

we can get a good group, if we get south korea, is much better than austrila and avoid as many arabs as possible would be a huge bonus, even though we will kick thier asses hard, but if afc being arab football club, is better we dont meet them expecially saudi since they might say they dont wanna play in iran, iraq is ok, as it will be like two home games

So in the runner up group its basically as if everyone only played 6 games.
Iraq actually has a very good chance of qualifying if they beat Vietnam.
Iraq anyway has only 9 points and even if you remove 3 from other second teams, Iraq has very very slim chance to advance as second.

Current Rankings of the 2nd place teams:
1. Syria 12 Pts
2. UAE 10 Pts
3. Jordan 10 Pts
4. North Korea 10 Pts
5. Iraq 9 Pts
6. China 8 Pts
7. Oman 8 Pts
8. Kuwait 7 Pts
Top 4 advance to the next round. Kuwait is suspended therefore Lebanon will probably be in the race instead. Iraq still has a chance if they win considering Indonesia was withdrawn from their group but it all depends on wether they can beat Vietnam and hope other results go in their favour regarding the top 4 teams.

Why some of our members are afraid of facing Qatar? Yes they have improved and put a tremendous amount of money in their football program, but why avoid them. I would love to see them in our group and will enjoy seeing them get beat more than any other team, except SA of course.Last edited by rezabmehr; 03-25-2016, 05:15 PM.sigpic

The situation with kuwait and iraq group of only 4 teams and indonesia exit, makes this all shitty really, it is unfair to a lot of teams..what will happen, is not our case, be darak pas...would just be fair if all groups had 5 teams..
iraq easy group with 4 teams, and low quality. we have to wait and see what will happen for the calculation, only counting matches against 1-4 teams or whatever, it is cleary in favor of iraq...
i also calculate on http://de.fifa.com/fifa-world-rankin...prognosis.html
with the prognose tool, following:- Teams (vs. oponents, last match)
- Winning, Drawing, Losing
- Iran (vs. Oman)
- 672 W, 629(!) D, 607(!) L
- Japan (vs. Syria)
- 577 W, 552 D, 539 L
- Korea (vs. Thailand, FRIENDLY)
- 579 W, 569 D, 563 L (note: Korea friendly vs. thailand less worth as a victory against Kuwait!)
- Saudi Arabia (vs. UAE)
- 631 W, 559 D, 523 L
- UAE (vs. Saudi Arabia)
- 571 W, 521 D, 496 L
- Australia (vs. Jordan)
- 601 W, 538 D, 507 L
- Uzbekistan (vs. Bahrain)
- 549 W, 520 D, 505 L
- Qatar (vs. China)
- 471 W, 434 D, 416 L
- Jordan (vs. Australia)
- 479 W, 438 D, 418 L
- Iraq (vs. Vietnam)
- 333 W, 310 D, 299 L
- Korea DPR (vs. Phillipines)
- 346 W, 325 D, 314 L
- China (vs. Qatar)
- 423 W, 377 D, 354 L
- Oman (vs. Iran)
- 429 W, 374 D, 346 L
- Thailand (vs. Korea REP, FRIENDLY)
- 330 W, 308 D, 297 L
- Syria (vs. Japan)
- 393 W, 342 D, 316 L
- Libanon (vs. Malaysia)
- 190 W, 176 D, 169 L
- Vietnam (vs. Iraq)
- 328 W, 261 D, 228 L
- NOTICE
:
Korea Rep losing points in ranking because kuwait case. friendly is less worth than official matches!
China just conceded ONE Goal, and this was their defeat vs. qatar, bad luck finishing this way, qatar won all their matches, conceded 2 goals = convincing.
DPR Korea same scenario, just having one match even, losing points in ranking even if they win their official matches compared to the points before the matches/next ranking.
China PR direct match vs. Qatar, despite qatar moved directly as first placed team, china can qualify as second team and rank above qatar for next stage!
(Realistic) Direct matches for first and/or second place teams: Iraq vs. Vietnam (2), UAW - Saudi A. (2vs1), Japan - Syria (1 vs. 2)World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper

Noticed, added:
Actually we have the problem of groups with 5 teams or 4 teams. excluding of indonesia / iraq group, and kuwait case.
In this case for fifa ranking it is unfair some teams have/had more chances to collect wrathful points, i think ranking points against lowest team in group can be counted out for the fifa ranking april. But if not, than following notice, depend on fifa ranking still remaining it is actually now:
Notice for Iran:
We are definitely in POT A and seeded as group head, whatever will happen in the match vs. Oman.
If we draw (629 or lose our match 607) we will minimum be second best team in asia, and only Saudi Arabia can top us, if they beat UAE away! Saudi Arabia (AFC 4) can make a mega step to POT A because their match is right now actually against an higher fifa ranked team (UAE, AFC 5)
Best scenario is:
Australia win their match vs. Jordan (because Aussis will anyway qualify as second team, and be in the final draw) and reach 601 points while Saudi Arabia NOT wining their match. In this case, the first three pots can be
Iran, Australia
Korea, Japan
Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan (must win vs. bahrain)
will be the first three POTS. UAE, Jordan, Uzbekistan will be in clash for POT 3. Uzbekistan have to win, if UAE reaches a draw and qualify as second team.
Worst case: If all "natural" powerhouses AND also Saudi arabia win and in my ultra zone Calculation (DPR Korea, Syria, Iraq and UAE qualifies, because i rate china-qatar a draw. If China win, and UAE loses, China will replace UAE in following ranking pots)
Iran, Saudi Arabia POT 1
Australia, Korea POT 2
Japan, Uzbekistan POT 3
UAE (China), Qatar POT 4,
Korea DPR, Iraq POT 5
Syria, Thailand Pot 6World Cup 2006, Frankfurt, Iran vs. Portugal, Iranian Frontpage of GOAL Sportspaper

So everyone should root for UAE in their match against Saudi Arabia.
Luckily UAE is playing at home, and their team is decent. They are expected to win.
The last thing we want is that Saudi Arabia wins, and therefore becomes a seed, together with Iran. This means there would be a chance to get both Australia and Japan/Korea in OUR group.
This is why we must root for UAE to win against Saudi Arabia, so that Saudi Arabia does not become seeded.
