I had that same moment not too long ago. I was trying to act ''modern'' by talking bad about arabs. But it backfires, always.

Since then I have decided not to hate on any country ever again. Because there's good people in every country.

Khodad Azizi has always been like this. This is his personality, he is a populist and always wants to say controversial stuff.

What is more sad; our sport heros being so stupid, or our media publishing this BS?

Meanwhile we worship a point in SA five times a day.

Skoreans and Shataries hate us and dont forget the gavbandi between Uzbecks and Shataries by the last WC qualification, and then we have Syria which however is an Arab country with young players who probably hate iran for what Isl. Republik is doing in their country.

                Great group....

Even if we wanted to handpick these teams, it could not come out as this lucky!

Avoiding japan, Australia, Saudis and Iraq WOW....

We have tough games against Korea and perhaps Uzbeks .. Direct qualification will be between Iran and Korea while Uzbeks will have a bit of hope as well

In Group B, my god, the fierce competition for direct qualification is between japan, Australia, Saudi and UAE; while Iraq also has a good chance. Thailand is going to bother all in that group in Bangkok.

He is rumored to be a Turkmen. If true it is shocking that he belongs to the same ethnic group as Azmoun who is a known Turkmen. They look very different.

Good group, we should qualify without waiting on the last day. I would have taken Iraq over the Qataris and their international squad of African mercenaries, but oh well.
The Uzbeks are an interesting side and I'm not a huge fan of playing them. Btw Uzbeks should read up on their history, and know that the original inhabitants were Iranian people, and it were those very Iranians who made Uzbekistan into a trading hub and a place with proper utilities and systems that it once was. I'm not sure why one would be proud to be Turkic when all they did was enslave and kill minorities lol.

we got a great group and also good games,
we got qatar at home first then china away, also the key part, our last 4 games, 3 are at home and we play syria at home last, so if we need points we can get it

                          Folks,

Would you respectfully keep the typical racial and nationalistic agenda out of football forum, I for one am not interested in reading these relentless never-ending useless racial slurs here in the football forum. a big part of this thread has been deviated by unrelated arguments, it is disrespecting other members who have little time during the day to come on this board, trying to read some first hand news and updates. I would greatly appreciate if such discussions would be pursued in General forum, the solution is easy, someone challenges you on a non-football issue, please open a new thread in general forum and leave a link for it in the thread.

As for the football itself and today's WCQ draw, I think both groups are pretty even and balanced. Of course I would have preferred Iraq over Qatar, and possibly Japan over S. Korea, both our game against S. Korea will be almost as intense and heated as how it would have been against KSA. We have beaten Koreans in our last 3 encounters, last win being in 2014 at home with a narrow 1-0 win, leaving their coach Uli Stielike in a super sour and bitter mood and experience of their last encounter and loss, calling our team anti-football and unsportsmanlike, asking for a revenge game...

Our head-to-head record against the South Koreans currently stays in our favor with 12 win for us vs. 9 win for the Koreans. Compare that to their head-to-head status against the Japanese with an impressive 40 win for Koreans vs. only 14 wins for Japan. So in fact Iran is the only Asian country to edge South Koreans in pretty much all levels and stats having outperformed them, beating them more. Koreans typically are a very proud nation with lots of ego and pride, so I guarantee you all, that this qualifier matches for them will mean more than just a qualifier, it's national pride and revenge, on top of the World Cup qualification.

Uzbekistan will absolutely not be an easy task, I speculate them to cause more trouble to us than the Koreans. Qatar always does its best to stop us in all competitions, however they often fail to carryout their purpose and goal. China has always been unpredictable, we should not take them lightly, nor Syria!

All in all, I predict we top the group and qualify. You may come back here by the end of this qualifier round and thank me for predicting this!

Bro Iraq have been performing very poorly in the last round of qualifiers while Qatar on the other hand has stepped things up. Same case with Japan and Korea. The other group is much better. The only teams we got that I'm glad we did get are China and Syria

Azizi did score one of the sweetest goals vs Saudi Arabia in that 3-0 victory. He made a fool out of two of their defenders and scored. Loved it.

If Iraq's home game against Saudi Arabia takes place in Tehran, I hope Iranian fans fill the stadium in support of Iraq just to make it hell for Saudi Arabia
