I would love to get Thailand so that I can watch the game live here in Bangkok BUT I feel like Thailand is developing and their fans are absolutely crazy, I live 10 minutes from their national stadium and on game day... wow!

We gave them a nice beating last time we played them in Thailand 2-3 years ago

Only teams I don't want are Saudi and Qatar... too high a risk of cheating and/or lobbying for favouritsm.

I don't fear Korea's strength but mathematically we should avoid them. We have won three successive games against them. The winning streak won't last considering both teams are almost equal.

            I agree with you also
I like us to avoid S.Korea and Qatar everyone else we are going to beat no problem
            I like this group : Iran-Japan-Saudi Arabia-Iraq-China-Thailand

Naw, it looks too much like our 2002 group.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Speaking of 2002 WCQ, I remember all other four teams failed to beat Thailand in Bangkok in 2002 WCQ. They are dangerous at their home.

My preferred draw would be Iran, Korea, Uzbekistan, China, Iraq, Syria.

                      My ideal group:
                      Iran
Japan (Korea wants revenge and I can't see us beating them again. We also played great v Japan in Azadi)
Uzbekistan (as much as I would like to knock-out Saudi, we know it will be a very emotional game for us and this often backfires on us. In general, I like to avoid Arab teams)
China (I think UAE is stronger and I want to avoid the Arab team)
Iraq (they can't play at home and we are out for revenge, their team is weak and we will beat them. Also want to avoid Qatar)
Syria (they also cannot play at home and Thailand is not only far but the away game could also be one of those trap games with their fans getting into it)

I had China instead of Syria but just read an article saying that Iran and Japan will be placed in a same pot
Because of FIFA ranking so it looks like we will not be grouped with Japan, damn.

So now my group would be Iran-Australia-Saudi Arabia-China-Iraq and Thailand

Whether they want revenge or not, we can beat them.

So is it officially a FIFA and AFC ruling that if Iran and Saudis get drawn into the same WCQ group then

We must play them in a neutral venue also ??

You always condemn Team Melli in different ways, yet when you talk about other teams they are the best and greatest thing in the world, when they are actually shite and beyond horrible. It's just a weird mental pathology. When in fact, we did very well this round. How many teams in Asia can beat Oman 2-0? Korea had problems with them in Asia Cup. Japan beat them 2-1 last qualifiers.

Azmoun is a one hit wonder? Taremi too? Seriously bro? How many goals have they scored this round? I just wish we had Younis Mahmood.
Tehranto jaan, thank you for the courteous critique. Although in all reality your assessment of my write-ups is quite wrong and unfair. Not sure how long you have been around PFDC and other Iranian football platforms, but I have always been one of the optimistic members when it came to TM, even during the last WCQ when many gave up on TM after losing to Lebanon and a few dismal displays, I guaranteed our qualification to the WC.

You quoted my comment and mentioned I always am negative when it comes to TM. Would you kindly present proofs to prove your claim?

In my post in which you quoted, I said our last WC final round group was a much easier group than what we may end up with this time around, do you oppose that?

I also mentioned we had a great game first half, while our second half was somewhat disappointing, and I believe pretty much the entire forum and football fans agree on.

Then I mentioned our players often lost possession and had wrong passes/crosses, any unbiased football fan would agree on this, we just didn't play as good as the first half and our players played below their abilities.

When and where did I talk of other teams as if they're the best teams in the world? it upsets me when someone exaggerates and twists my words, when did I make great deal of these other Asian teams? Please substantiate your claim.

The truth of the matter is that ever since decline of Daei and Hashemian, we have not been able to produce such great and opportunist with high IQ goal scorers. Yes I believe in Azmoun, however he still needs more time to get where Daei and Hashemian were at their career peak. Today we should/have won by at least 4-5 goal margin.

When did I say Azmoun is a one hit wonder? You have twisted my words a lot my friend. Plus I am not sure how Younis Mahmoud got into this conversation?! Your post really surprised me, it really did.
