Not sure how long you have been around PFDC and other Iranian football platforms, but I have always been one of the optimistic members when it came to TM, even during the last WCQ when many gave up on TM after losing to Lebanon and a few dismal displays, I guaranteed our qualification to the WC.
You quoted my comment and mentioned I always am negative when it comes to TM. Would you kindly present proofs to prove your claim?
In my post in which you quoted, I said our last WC final round group was a much easier group than what we may end up with this time around, do you oppose that?
I also mentioned we had a great game first half, while our second half was somewhat disappointing, and I believe pretty much the entire forum and football fans agree on.
Then I mentioned our players often lost possession and had wrong passes/crosses, any unbiased football fan would agree on this, we just didn't play as good as the first half and our players played below their abilities.
When and where did I talk of other teams as if they're the best teams in the world? it upsets me when someone exaggerates and twists my words, when did I make great deal of these other Asian teams? Please substantiate your claim.
The truth of the matter is that ever since decline of Daei and Hashemian, we have not been able to produce such great and opportunist with high IQ goal scorers. Yes I believe in Azmoun, however he still needs more time to get where Daei and Hashemian were at their career peak. Today we should/have won by at least 4-5 goal margin.
When did I say Azmoun is a one hit wonder? You have twisted my words a lot my friend. Plus I am not sure how Younis Mahmoud got into this conversation?! Your post really surprised me, it really did.
Keano jaan, thank you for your response.

That's amazing that you supported team during their tough games vs. Qatar, Lebanon and South Korea, where no one had us winning all three. Many people did not and you were proven right.

No I don't disagree, I think this one is harder but I truly think under CQ, we have the best team in Asia.

Yes, second half was disappointing but remember, we just jumped all over Oman and scored two early goals. This made the players think that this was going to be an absolute trumping i.e. vs. Bahrain 6-0 and they probably deviated from game plan a bit to run up the score. Yes, that's not good but really, we were never in any threat to concede a goal or lose this game. It was already done after the 2nd goal. They deserve a pass.

Yes, Azmoun needs time but he is well on his way. He will be better than Hashemian, who I loved, but Ali Daei is the greatest Asian striker of all time. So that's a hefty mountain to climb. Did you see the headers he scored this game? Both were fantastic. He's one of the top scorers this round and is one of Rostov - the Russian leaders - top 2 strikers. Pretty good for a 22 year old.

Younis Mahmood was a dig, I remember how you were really hyping up Iraq's players before on other Iraqi board. Just ribbing a bit bro. Enjoy our team bro, our central midfielder was a 19 year old and he was exceptional our frontline are all mid-20s and less. Our other midfielders (Andranik, Rahmani and Rafei weren't even in this game). Let's just enjoy, we got the job done and were first without and serious threat!

I think really, Iraq over Qatar is the one that we should pull for. Maybe a bit of wishing Korea over Japan. But really, the rest are crap-shoots and not much of a difference.

Love such well mannered and handled discussions, as opposed to the relentless rude comment exchanges. So props to you my brotha!

So you were also a member of aliraqi forum? was I really fancying their players? LOOL I don't recall TBH

Our team is on the right track, we have our youngest TM ever since Dehdari's team (If not younger) I have always loved CQ and will always do. Really look forward to see him qualify us to yet another WC and lead us in Russia!

Of course bro. We have to keep it tolerant and mature.

Just use to read their stuff after some members here posted some crap they said about Iranians. I thought you were way too tolerant of their anti-Iranian stuff and you praised their players a bit too much (this is subjective, really - so no need to argue this point).

But really, we have great young guns:
          Azmoun
          Jahanbaksh
          Ezzatollahi
          Taremi
          Ansarifard
          Torabi
          Mohammadi
          Rafaei
          Rahmani
          Hajsafi (only 26)
Poolangji (no mistake in spelling here )
          Mazarehi

I know this is a bit off topic but why doesn't Mehdi Sharifi of Sepahan ever get invited to TM? I would love to see him as a striker/forward on Teameh Melli.

You seem to have enough time to pop up every time Iraq is mentioned

The group winners and runners-ups qualify directly. The third placed teams go to the AFC play-off and the winner play against 4th best team in CONCACAF.

I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

I would like more East Asian teams, I feel we play better against them. China and Thailand would be great, I think Thailand will be no match for Iran and the China squad is very weak and couldn't even defeat Hong Kong. Would Rather Japan than South Korea because I think Japanese football is in a downward cycle at the moment, i think they are very very beatable. Out of Uzbekistan and Saudi I would rather Saudi as they have a far weaker team.

I think Japan is just trying a new formation/players under the new manager (they fired the previous manager after the Asian Cup) and that's why they have been pretty average. We struggled when CQ was rebuilding the team. I watched the Syria game and Japan looked so strong. The scoreline was 5-0 but it could have been more easily. Maybe it's about time they started to play well again. Remember Vahid Halilhodzic is a good manager and guys like Kagawa, Honda, Nagatomo and Okazaki play regularly for the top teams in Bundesliga, EPL and Serie A.
