the most important opponants for TM,are the so called weaker teams....Getting the points we are supposed to get..the stronger opponanats will cross each other out....the points that will get us on the top of the groups are the ones we get from the weaker opponants.
Realistically speaking and considering our quality top ranked Asian team, we should beat China and Syria both home and away. Which means that, we would have already 12 points. 2 points in total against Uzbekistan and Korea would already secure a ticket to Russia 2018 if we don't make it difficult for ourselves.
Lets be realistic we're not going to win some of the games we HAVE to. So we will screw up some of the games and we do have to win at least a couple of games against Korea and Uzbekistan in order to make it.

Oh, so you mean the same usual WCQ that we see from TM each campaign.

Exactly. As always it will go down to the last minute and give us plenty of heartache.

Yup, I can see Qatar taking away points from us we should get, they're real thirsty to beat us they've been close in almost every encounter we have had with them in recent years but haven't quite managed. Same goes for China, they will make it hard for us too.....wouldn't be a typical WCQ campaign without the headaches caused by games we should win on paper every time.

I think we can all hate all we want but this Omar Abdulrahman has got some skills Good thing is that UAE is never going to produce anything close to him and also that he struggles big time against physical players like ours, be it at club or national team level

Hes not even from UAE. I remember this guy got paid $8 million and got a lambo from the Sheikhs in 2012 just because they won the Persian gulf cup. He might have skills but he is physically not strong enough to play in Europe. I saw some people comparing him to Karimi *face palm* Back in the day, Karimi was called "Al saher al irani" which means the Iranian magician. The people of UAE loved seeing him play.

Yeah Omar is definately a quality player.. Luckily though like most Arab players he doesn't have much ambition, he lives like a king in UAE so he most likely won't leave.. I was in Dubai last summer and I talked to my friends cousins about Karimi, Omar etc, they said that they don't think either that he could succeed in Europe against physical players.
