مطهری از تاریخ 26 اسفندماه سال 94 تا امروز در تمرینات نفت شرکت نکرده است. رحیم ایرانیان، سرپرست تیم نفت در این باره به "ورزش سه" می گوید: ارسلان از مشکلات باشگاه ناراحت است و واقعیت این است چون در تهران مسکن نداشت و نمی توانست تنهایی از پس هزینه های زندگی در پایتخت برآید، به شهرش گرمسار و نزد خانواده اش برگشته است.

سرپرست تیم نفت ادامه می دهد: اعضای کادرفنی با او در تماس هستند و از او خواسته اند به تمرینات برگردد اما وقتی پولی در بساط ندارد، نمی تواند کاری انجام دهد. ارسلان به همین خاطر در دو بازی قبلی هم غایب بوده است و ما واقعا نگرانش هستیم.

ایرانیان در پایان می افزاید: مدیران باشگاه نفت باید هرچه زودتر فکری انجام دهند. چند روز دیگر بازی داریم ولی تکلیفمان روشن نیست. بازیکنان با تعصب مثال زدنی کار را جلو می برند اما این مشکلات اذیتمان می کند. الان اگر فوتبال ارسلان مطهری نابود شود، چه اتفاقی می افتد؟

look SS just paid something like $200 k to a former player because of FIFA case against them. so a salary cap that will keep the teams in check is necessary in iran. most teams will get a way with this type of stuff but the lower teams will get shafted because they can't pay players. Our league is financially broke, we are just living pay check to pay check. PP and SS always get the money first before any other team. that is just a sad reality.
