Syria approached Mourinho for the job but he surprisingly turned them down. I await the approach for Pep when City win the UCL and decide they don't want him.

We going to Belarus and Macedonia. What preparations for Team-Melli. See how serious Korea is with preparations.

We always play teams from lower class and need to play strong teams. Example we play only one game before World Cup 2006 against amateurs Switersland.

Why surprisingly if you don't mind me asking?

I have tremendous love and respect for Syria and the Syrian people nowadays. They've bern through a lot.

But Bijan Mourinho is smart not to accept Syria's offer for many reasons. One, obviously, because Syria is a war zone. Two, he'll be coaching against his compatriot Queiroz who is coaching Asia's best at the moment.

I mean I know he can just get a ton of money from them, try his best with Syria, not qualify and everyone would not complain. But I don't think it's a surprise that he turned them down.

I looked up Korean players in Europe and their stats.

                  DF - Park Joo-ho (Dortmund/GER) - 4 games (3 starts)
                  DF - Kim Jin-su (Hoffenheim/GER) - 15 games (14 starts) /
                  DF - Hong Jeong-ho (Augsburg/GER) - 18 games (17 starts) / 2 goals
                  MF - Koo Ja-cheol (Augsburg/GER) - 23 games (20 starts) / 7 goals
                  MF - Ki Sung-yueng (Swansea/ENG) - 27 games (19 starts) / 1 goal
                  MF - Lee Chung-yong (Crystal Palace/ENG) - 11 games (3 starts) / 1 goal

                  FW - Son Heung-Min (Tottenham/ENG) - 22 games (9 starts) / 2 goals

The good thing is that their best player Son is struggling.

Son is not half the player he is for his national team that he is for his club.

his national team stats are like ansarifards, and hence why someone who is "so good" never scored against us.

Thank you to allan123 for making this thread. I made this thread for last round and I think its an important thread to have to discuss what we are up against.
Videos for getting familiar with our opponents:

Don't fret over Qatar's international mercenaries. We've beaten most of them and can do it again. Also Rodrigo Tabata is 35 years old. He will be 37 at the next world cup and 41 at the 2022 one. Qatar is losings its head.
