Didn't know politics was so important in football. Point should be how popular is Iran in the Persian Gulf region, answer as we all know is: not popular at all, thus choosing a Central Asian country where we have historical roots, would make more sense. I also believe the reasons were of a financial nature. Nothing IFF does is in our interest, on the contrary.
