Uncalled for man. House of Saud might be half the country but innocents would die. I know some Saudis and they see us as a rival in football. Nothing more.

They're dickheads, they're oblivious to human rights, their RELIGION attacks another branch of Islam, and they're a center for terrorism. All they're good for is oil.

                Yashashin tractor yashashin IRAN.

They made me happy and proud, and showed saudi that they fucked up big time.

Im not a big fan of QN but it seems to me that he's gotten rather experienced in ACL. He got really far with SS last time and I think hell do really well this time too.

There are plenty of youth in Saudi Arabia that would love to see their country free from the evils of religion and finally welcome the 21st century. So in some respects, they must be similar to Iranian youth. I have a lot of sympathy/admiration for any free thinking person who lives in Iran or Saudi Arabia.

Very well said. I wonder how our people feel when some ignorants in the west call for nuking Iran, it certainly frustrates and infuriates every single one of us to see them perceive us all as terrorists and Islamists.

Stereotyping of any kind is wrong!

Ok no need to kill them all. I didnt say lets be buddies lets not wish for final solution nukes. I think we'd understand seeing as there are thousands of people in the US who call for Nuke/War against us.

Some previews of tomorrow's games on AFC website

ACL MD5 - GROUP B: AL NASSR V ZOBAHAN PREVIEW

Muscat: Al Nassr coach Raul Caneda has compared his side’s meeting with Zobahan in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday to a final with the Saudi Arabian club needing to win to avoid elimination from this year’s competition.
The Riyadh-based club are in third place in Group B, level on five points with Qatar’s Lekhwiya and three points behind leaders Zobahan with just two games remaining.

Defeat, coupled with a win for Lekhwiya, would see Al Nassr exit the competition due to an inferior head-to-head record against the Qataris, leaving Caneda’s team with no hope of advancing.

“The match against Zobahan is like a final for us and we have to win it,” said Caneda (pictured), who took Al Ittihad to the semi-finals in 2012. “We are now in a decisive period in the competition which will determine whether we will continue or not depending on the result tomorrow.

“Zobahan are one of the strongest and hardest-to-beat teams in the competition and they have players who showed a lot of fighting spirit in the previous matches. However, we want to put in a good performance and go back home with the three points.”

Al Nassr will be without Ibrahim Ghaleb, who is suspended, and the Saudis go into the game off the back of a 2-1 loss to Al Raed in their domestic league on Friday.

Zobahan, meanwhile, are enduring a slump in form that has seen them win only once in their last six games, with that victory coming against Bunyodkor in the AFC Champions League on Matchday Four.

“We want to have a good performance and hopefully the two teams will entertain the crowd but playing on neutral ground means that we won’t get the support that we usually get back home,” said Zobahan coach Yahya Golmohammadi.

“The match tomorrow will be the most important match for us this year because we can win the group and qualify for the knockout stage. Our players are ready and hopefully we can get a positive result.”

ACL MD5 - GROUP A: AL ITTIHAD V SEPAHAN PREVIEW

Doha: Ghanaian international midfielder Sulley Muntari will return for Al Ittihad’s must-win clash with Sepahan in Group A of the AFC Champions League on Wednesday with the two-time champions staring elimination in the face.
Muntari (pictured in action against Al Nasr on Matchday 3) missed the 0-0 draw with Al Nasr on Matchday Four due to suspension but returns for a game the 2004 and 2005 champions need to win to retain any hope of advancing to the knockout phase of the competition.

Al Ittihad are in third place in the group, four points adrift of Al Nasr and a point further behind leaders Lokomotiv and Victor Piturca’s side must pick up a second victory of the group stage to stay alive.

“We want to win and get the three points from the match tomorrow,” said Piturca. “We still have a chance to qualify to the knockout stage of the competition and we will hold on to it until the last minute of our campaign.

“We have improved in recent matches and this is giving us a big push in order to achieve a victory tomorrow. We will miss the services of some key players but I’m confident that our players will rise to the occasion and give a good account of Al Ittihad.”

Al Ittihad will be missing Ziyadh Al Sahafi, who is suspended after a second booking of the group stage against Al Nasr, while Ahmed Asiri’s sending off in the same game means he is also unavailable.

Sepahan, meanwhile, must also pick up all three points to keep their hopes of playing in the next phase of the competition intact. The Iranians, who lost in the final in 2007 to Urawa Reds, trail Al Ittihad on goal difference and will be without the suspended Saeid Ghaedifar.

“We have prepared very well for this important match and I’m confident the team will play well,” said coach Igor Stimac. “It will be very difficult for the two teams but we have a great desire to win and get the three points tomorrow.

“Al Ittihad are a strong team and they have a lot of experience in this competition. We should be wary of their strength and avoid making mistakes because they know how to take advantage.”
