unfortunately, we will never know the real cause of death for him, nor for hadi norouzi. they just say Cardiac arrest or heart Attach and that's it.

I am not insinuating anything, but just based on past cases that I have heard or read about, this has to be a heart condition that had gone undetected, doping with wrong material, or suicide. in our country, no official source will ever be willing to come out and explain the true cause of death for a famous personality. And there are many reasons for that, not least of which is our own unique culture of "respect for the deceased and his family", which I don't agree with. I don't see anything wrong with telling the people that for example this famous person's heart stopped because he was depressed and was using dangerous narcotics. or that this famous player doped using cheap Chinese shit which caused a cardiac arrest. or that his doctors had missed his unique/rare heart condition!!!!

I don't know about you, but I would rather know the 'real' reason as to why out of a sudden Oladi's heart stopped. same with hadi. maybe there is a lesson for other young athletes in there or even more importantly, maybe there is a lesson for the sports medical professionals in there! something they can learn from for the future. but instead, we just wear black, bury the deceased, if we are close enough to the deceased we get a free lunch and dinner and move on with our lives, as if who cares how he died let's just be sad that he died, for a few days!

        RIP Mehdrad Oladi!
It seems he had a heart condition from Persepolis days (not confirmed saw it on twitter). General points from this tragedy:

        1. Oladi was diagnosed with a heart condition 5/6 years ago when he was with Persepolis
        2. He was having chest pains a few days ago so Malavan medical team allowed him to return to Tehran and rest (reason he missed Foolad game)
        3. Apparently he had breathing problems at his home and phoned 115
        4. Emergency services found him unresponsive at his home
        5. 55 minutes of CPR and standard procedure for such cases and nothing could be done

Note this isn't confirmed, just what I have heard through various media outlets. If this is true though, this could have been easily prevented and at worse he would be recovering from a surgery right now. The problem is the people of Iran are not educated about when to see a doctor! If you are a 30 year old fit man who runs for a living and you have have random chest pain, you must go to doctor immediately 100%! Again not completely sure this is what happened, but if it did why didn't Malavan medical staff immediately refer him to the hospital! If he had a KNOWN heart condition, why was he allowed to compete without proper treatment to fix the problem!

You know honestly, I think it was the same with Hadi, in the weeks leading up to his death, he probably felt some occasional chest pain and maybe shortness of breath. But there is such a macho manly attitude in Iran, that people won't go to the doctor when they feel some mild chest pain.

As I said the only way to fix this is not medicine or something else, it is education! Know when you should see a doctor and you can stop the problem before it occurs.

^I don't know whatsup with the Iranian men not wanting to go to the doctor, trying to be macho..
To be honest I think all of us have a lil bit of that in us, which is definitely not a good thing.

What would be even worse is if Malayan knew about his chest pains and did nothing about it.., that's just insane.

With all due respect, is it possible to change the title of this thread? It seems unintentionally trivialising.

              I agree.

Should be "Mehrdad Oladi Passed Away, Rest in Peace" or "In Memory of Mehrdad Oladi"

It's as if it was yesterday that I was watching his highlights with Shojaei back in 2005. I can't believe it.

Rumor about Oladi attempting suicide by cutting his hand. They interviewed him and he showed the cut and mentioned that it wasn't that he attempted to commit suicide, it was because he was upset during a phone call (money that he was supposed to pay for a house wasn't wired to him and he was arguing over the phone) and almost threw his phone, and in the process he cut his hand on a broken window. That's the gist of it. I compressed it but that's the point.
