In all honesty I believe Oladi deserves a much better suited and deserved thread title that what currently displays.

I agree please change the tittle of the thread. RIP Mehrdad Oladi. He was a great player that could have easily played in a top European team and became a super star for us but the circumstances weren't right. Nonetheless he was a great player for team Melli, Malavan and especially Persepolis. I had an encounter with Oladi as an 11/12 year old kid. I remember being at a Persepolis match in azadi against some mid table team I don't remember exactly who, and Persepolis was having a poor game and had gone down 1-0 in the first half. As the 2nd half was starting and the players were running out onto the field myself and a group of other kids/young adults were standing at the very edge of the stadium and yelling "Oladi!!" "Machalla!!" "Oladi!!, Oladi!!, Oladi!!" And we kept yelling his name to try and get his attention. And I remember he turned around and looked me dead in the eyes and then at our group of 10/15 kids and shook his head as if to say I hear you but I'm too embarrassed to acknowledge you. I remember he was the best player on the field that day even though Persepolis lost. Not only was he immensely talented but he was very passionate like many of our players and that's what I loved about him. I will never forget that memory of him and I'm sure many others have similar cherished memories of him that will live on for decades.
