At least the chance that Torabi goes to Europe stays normal in comparison to when he would transfer to PP / SS, that basically means goodbye European career.

Unfortunately European scouts are missing this kind of talents. Until Iran didn't achieve something impressive in a global competition (it was starting in wc98) or a guy like azmun didn't tear everything in a big and exposed league, iranian talents will stay out of their radar.

European scouts prefer to look at unknown random Africans and South Americans. Even Chinese and Qatari trash are added to the list. There is a Qatari player who now plays for Villarreal, while our Torabi still stays with Saipa. Fuck these European scouts, I can't wait for TM to beat European teams in the 2018 WC.

Torabi told Saipa officials to help him transfer to Europe if a European offer comes, but Saipa hinted that they wouldn't sell him anytime soon

Totally agree but we should start to qualify more often in youth international competitions and not being kicked out by the like of Qatar, Myanmar, Uzbekistan...

well, we have to look at ourselves too. it's not all euro scouts' fault.
we all know the raw talent is in abundance in Iran. no doubt. but that's not enough apparently.
we have to either have a very open, extremely welcoming country that thee scouts can come and visit freely, or have a very flashy, loud league that attracts attention, or do highly visible and attention grabbing stuff at national team level, or spend shitload of money promoting our football, players, ... abroad.

we dont have an open nor welcoming society in iran, also piss poor tourism (I'm not taling about those tourists who are attracted to visit the unknown or rarely-touched by modernity areas or ... . I'm talking about an environment free enough for a scout to merely travel without trouble to merely watch a few games).
Our league also is hardly flashy or highly attractive (dont confuse it with talent level). we also dont do very well at Int'l club competitions.
Our TM also is usually busy sitting on the sidelines during fifa days or is usually content with low visibility match ups (not saying wrng or right. it's just so)
we also dont spread money to make loud noises regarding our league or football or ...

add to this our tendency to look for easy money and comfortable life, instead of hardship and tough work, as seen in many dubious decisions many of our players

so it makes scouting that much more difficult and rare when it comes to iran. and by the same token we must give credit and kudos to what little exports we've had who've overcome all these shortcomings to find their way to europe

Ok with most of the post but about the difficulty of travel to Iran : Businessmen from Western countries are traveling left and right since last year, why not foreign scouts.

You have a good point. But then again it sill amazes me how the same scouts can pick up players from extremely poor African countries, where the circumstances are much and much worse than in Iran. So there is another side in your argument to consider as well.

dont underestimate the power of easy fortune. businesses are coming with hope of making a fortune.
scouts are not so assured. nor are they in the same league as business owners. They have more options elsewhere (either more luxurious like in gutter, china, ... or more guaranteed results like in africa)
what few come to Iran actually brave a lot of hardship and difficulty. dont compare what we, iranians do and visit, to some middle class scout coming to a country with little communication skills, little luxury in terms of hospitality, ... etc etc

Africans fake their age, and have more visibility to Europe : ex-european colonies, Africancup more covered, the like of Drogba, Touré, Eto o, Aubameyamng proving gamble on them can give a lot at the end

This Torabi boy can become a really special player and it's a shame that he will waste one more season in IPL! Now that he has extended his contract , I just hope that Saipa won't make him regret by rejecting future offers from europe.. They don't seem to have financial problems like Rah Ahan, so they certainly won't let him go unless they get very good money from his transfer
