PAOK would actually be better than Olympiacos given that they finished on top of the play offs, it's a good starting point although I had hoped to see him in a better league in the bigger picture it is still Europe and still a step above IPL, if Karim could stand out there so can he, and even more so. Which will only lead to more interest in a year or two now from bigger and better teams.

Very close to Mehdi Taremi seems PAOK according to Inside of Iran.

The majority of the country's sports press points out that the "two headed up North" is located a stone's throw from the final agreement with the striker 26chrono, who remains free from Persepolis in which he scored 16 goals in 23 innings.

Indeed, they point out that his case was initiated and Olympiakos, while the playeris expected to come in the next few days in Thessaloniki for signatures.

The only thing Taremi's agent said was that he was signing with a Greek team. It's probably going to be a top team but the names so far are Iranian media speculation just like how they said Hajsafi was going to Bochum.

I think our players can become succesful in Greece because of cultural similarites. They feel more at home in Greece than other European countries, which plays a huge role in confidence and performance. Look at Ansarifard...

Excellent point, this is why it's been years I've been saying that our players should go to Greece and turkey, I think they're perfect starting points both because of the level and exactly what you just said.

I like it that our players seem to have become much more realistic in recent years, and don't only dream of top teams and league. Nariman Jahan to an average Austrian side is a good example for that, also Hajsafi and many others. They understand it needs a small first step before they can go further. I like that development.

Man, Iranian media just has a field day during transfer season.... and we all just eat it up without a second thought. Let's actually just wait and see what happens (or at least wait for a real source). As far as I am concerned, there are very few, if any, fully trustworthy sports papers in Iran.

iranian papers claim taremi will get 1million euro. if this is for 1 year only it will be a huge contract. Karim is getting a fraction of this in greece

He is the only Perspolis player who still didn't show up at training. Don't know what this could mean, but every NT player has at least showed up so far.

Tehran times all but confirmed Taremi's move to La Liga...now Greece. These guys are tabloids not journalists.
